shut up & drive // joon and hyoyeon
Fuck.
Panic had driven all rational thoughts from his head and had forced him to make a break down the opposite direction of his car. It was rather amusing, really, to find a professional killer like him scurrying through the streets and alleyways of Seoul like a mouse trapped in a maze. He almost snorted at the thought. How pathetic, Lee Changsun. Truly pathetic.
Although running several kilometers to lose his chasers was not a fairly difficult task, he did not want to put up with all the effort. He wanted a ride, and he wanted one fast. He thought about option #1: jumping into a random vehicle, threatening the driver to take him away, and then shooting—
No. He didn’t feel like killing anyone today.
So he kept on running. His sprints began to lose the men on his tail, and he felt his confidence gradually returning as he sprinted through streets and rounded brick corners. A turn down one alley led him out to another and there, as if the heavens were not entirely working against him, was option #2—using a lone car parked further down against the side of the road.
Not exactly what he pictured for a quick getaway, but it would have to do, right? He pulled on the handle to open the door. It was locked. He cursed under his breath. If he would be stealing this car for a certain period of time, breaking the window didn’t seem to be that big of a deal anymore.
And so he broke the window. He half expected an alarm to go off, so when it didn’t, he opened the driver’s door from inside and hopped in. He glanced down at the steering wheel and imagined his fingers fumbling messily with the wires below it. Feeling defeated, he let his head fall back against the headrest.
Well, shit. He didn’t feel like doing this either.Â
