CHAPTER 10 NOW LIVE

"Ugh, shut up", Chan huffs, biting back a smile.

His phone dings with a notification and Chan sees that it's a text from Seungmin. He squeals with excitement and snatches the phone up before he can catch himself.

"What the fuck was that? Did you just fucking SQUEAL?" Hyunjin asks, mouth open in shock. A slow giggle begins in his gut and then slowly builds into a full cackle until he's doubled over in laughter with tears streaming out of his eyes.

"Jinnie, shut up!" Chan groans, throwing a pillow at Hyunjin.

"Oh, you're not hearing the end of this, Piglet. You just full on SQUEALED over a text message!" Hyunjin exclaims, cackling again.

Changbin comes through the media room doors balancing three bowls of popcorn. "What are we cackling about?" He asks. He passes bowls to Hyunjin and Chan before plopping back down next to Hyunjin.

"Chan just—"

"NOPE!" Chan cuts in.

"He just got—"

"Shut the fuck up!"

"ChangotatextandSQUEALED!"

"Bitch!" Chan throws another pillow at Hyunjin's head. He scowls at a cackling Hyunjin once more before stuffing a mouthful of popcorn in his mouth. He pretends not to see the mischievious grin spreading across Changbin's face, knowing it means a double round of teasing is on the way.

"Oh, Channie…", Changbin teases with a smirk.

"Do not start, Bin." Chan glares at him.

"I think he's in LOVE, Bin." Hyunjin grins.

I have tried to make Chapter 5 of Never Leave You Alone work and it just doesn't so I have to scrap and rewrite all 3000 words. I've tried gutting whole sections and have 3 different drafts yet it just doesn't work after like two weeks. I'm lowkey devastated because what the fuck??? How did this happen? Is this the AO3 curse? Is it happening?

World's Apart Chapter 9

As if summoned out of a rom com, the double doors to Chan's room burst open.

"Daddy! Jisung won't give me my— Oh!" Felix interrupts. He startles, staring wide eyed and taking in the scene before him with Chan splayed on top of Seungmin.

"It's NOT yours! It's mi— Whoa!" comes Jisung right on Felix's tail. His eyebrows shoot up to the sky.

Chan scrambles backwards to put distance between him and Seungmin, a scarlet blush apparent on his neck and ears.

"Boys, what is it? You're supposed to be going to sleep", Chan groans, rubbing his forehead in embarrassment and frustration.

Without missing a beat, the boys continue their arguing.

"Jisung has my face moisturizer and won't give it back. I cannot finish my skincare routine without it", Felix whines, stomping his foot and crossing his arms.

"And I told Bbokie it's mine. He borrowed it once and never gave it back so I took it", Jisung harrumphs, adjusting his glasses and crossing his arms.

Felix glares at him through his cream face mask and flares his nostrils. Jisung sticks his tongue out.

"Bbokie, are you sure it's yours? I thought you guys labeled your things to avoid this", Chan asks gently.

"We do and that's how I know it's mine. See, look", Jisung says firmly. He hands over the offending face moisturizer to Chan who flips it over to inspect the bottom. In all capital letters, it reads 'JISUNG' in sharpie at the bottom.

"Bbokie, it has Jisung's name on it", Chan shrugs, handing the bottle back to Jisung. "Maybe you misplaced yours."

Felix stomps again. "Daddy", he huffs. "How do I know he didn't just put that there? It's been in my bathroom since last month when I bought it with my allowance!"

"It has not", Jisung scoffs. "You just think everything is yours because you take it and don't give it back."

"Like when you gave me my hoodie back?" Felix argues, squinting his eyes at his brother.

"I gave you your stupid hoodie back!" Jisung yells.

"You did not!"

"Yes, I did! This is MY moisturizer!"

"No, it's not!"

Felix draws his fist back and Jisung squints at him in a silent challenge.

Sungie: Whose ass do I gotta beat?

Lixie: Idk what to do.

Sungie: What happened babe?

Lixie: He threatened me.

Sungie: HE DID WHAT??

He watches the typing bubbles come up and disappear three times before Jisung responds 5 minutes later. He prays he didn't call or text Chris.

Sungie: Lix, please don't be mad

Lixie: Please God don't tell me you told Chris

Sungie: Okay, so I won't tell you

Lixie: SUNGIE! YOU KNOW CHRIS IS CRAZY

Sungie: Which is exactly why he needs to know. I'm sorry but I wasn't going to sit around and wait for something to happen to you. Be mad at me, but that man will rip the literal Earth apart to protect you. Especially since administration won't

Lixie: Omg I'll talk to you later

He turns the screen off on his phone and sighs. He already knows Chan is probably halfway up to the hospital by now. He texts Chan.

Lixie: Babe

Chris Cross Apple Sauce: No.

Lixie: Chris please don't do anything crazy.

Chris Cross Apple Sauce: I will do several things crazy.

Lixie: You said you'd let me handle it

Chris Cross Apple Sauce: That was BEFORE he put his hands on you and threatened you. All bets are off.

Lixie: Babe please

Lixie: Chris PLEASE

He makes his way out of the supply closet and takes a deep breath. Nurse Yeji barrels around the corner at the exact same moment barely missing a collision with the mobile cart.

"Lixie! Oh my God, finally! Someone who's not a fucking cunt is here", she exclaims, hugging Felix tight. In that instant, all of the tension in his body disappears and he laughs.

READ Never Leave You Alone

Quick note to my readers: I just want to start off by saying I'm not even sure who from AO3 reads my Tumblr updates, but this note is for the ones who do. I am having a very, very tough time finishing Chapter 5 and continuing this story, in general.

The reception for this story has not been good, which leads me to assume the story is not good and that's fine, but it makes me not want to write and it's taking the fun out of me for me lol I start typing and then I'm just like 'Eh. Na'. I think I'm just going to end up finishing it privately on my own time and possibly posting later when it's done. That way it takes the pressure off of me and I can focus on making it the way I want vs second guessing myself with each chapter.
