Yesterday I "learned" how to spin clay with my fellow knowledge quester @carleeray. We now have a newfound respect for the craftsmen who practice this trade and that pottery-rotica scene from Ghost. Prove that you really did that Demi & Patrick! While I could hardly center a golf ball sized piece of clay on the wheel after 2 hrs, which is basically the pre-step to step 1, our instructor had spun and carved a beautiful bowl that could be sold at West Elm within 30 minutes. Oy vey what an eye-opener. 🍯
