time through journeys pt5
Park Chanyeol was on the run for the second time in however long it was that he'd been unconscious for. It could've been overnight, but it could've been a week. It seemed like he'd never find out.
The building was, as a matter of fact, more made out of concrete than what he'd expected -- in comparison to the room he was stuck in before, which appeared as if it was made out of wood alone. There had been a dozen or so people in the hall that he'd managed to break out into, so the next thing to focus on was getting away from those people. He could merely assume they were magic.
"Hey! You! ..Kid!"
Voices echoed through the hall he was running down and he didn't stop to give them an answer. If they wanted him then they could catch him, but he'd do his best not to let them. However, that thought went down the drain as soon as he was presented with two doors to choose from. Chanyeol groaned loudly, but didn't let himself pause for too long. Almost without thought, he plunged forwards and burst through the door on the right, coming to a complete stop as his eyes surveyed the setting.
A storage room was of no use to him.
The Hufflepuff mumbled out a string of curses under his breath, the situation taking him an inch out of character. It didn't help that voices were getting closer. Chanyeol turned his wand over in his hands, a few spells coming to mind. Incendio was mighty tempting to use if worst came to the worst. He turned, ready to face the incoming voices, wand at the ready. Two seconds later and the door flew open to reveal a man in his mid-thirties. Chanyeol was ready to counteract whatever spell they threw at him.
"..Stupefy!"
And bam-- He was out cold.

"What the hell are we meant to do with this kid?!"
"..How about knock him unconscious every time he wakes up?"
"Markus, are you kidding me? Please tell me you're kidding me."
"I'm just saying. Besides, you know orders. You already know what we gotta do. This kid's gonna be the next big thing for us. He'll be spying and he won't even know it."
"Yeah.. I know he'll be great for the organisation, but.. Oh, I don't know! It doesn't feel right!"
"No one's asking you if you think it's right. They're called orders because you follow them. Don't think that I won't drop you as a partner."
"Ugh.. Alright. I get it. Now let's just do this spell and get it the hell over with."
"It has to be strong enough. Okay? Three.. Two.. One.."
"Oblivia--"
"Obliviate!"

"Chanyeol!--"
"Oh Merlin! Chanyeol! Chanyeol, can you hear us?!"
The boy came around slowly to find himself being shaken by the shoulders, a man and a woman standing in front of him. He squinted into the light, feeling weightless in his own body.
"Mmmmh?" he forced out, dazed and unaware of where he was. As his eyes came into focus better, he could make out his parents before him, looks of panic and sheer worry spread across their faces. "Why are you waking me up so early, mum? Did something happen?" He raised a hand to rub his eyes, missing the shared look of discomfort between his parents.
His mother leaned closer, using her hands to check his head for marks, to check if he felt too hot. "Honey, are you okay? What happened? You should tell us." She gave an encouraging nod, as if it would help for Chanyeol to spill all the secrets that he knew to her.
Except that he couldn't figure out what they were talking about. Chanyeol sat up, throwing his father a questioning look instead. He was solely answered with a frown.
"..Chanyeol. Tell us what happened. What did they do to you?" His father crossed his arms, taking a stern approach.
But Chanyeol still couldn't figure out what it was that they wanted from him. He sighed and gave a whine, "Ohhhh, but I told you already! The interview for Hogwarts went fine and they told me they'd be glad to have me." He flicked his gaze from each parent to the other, growing confused by their somewhat distraught faces. "And all they did was show me around the school's site." The boy was beginning to grow nervous. "..They offered me tea?"
