Mellow Yellow, Dead Red
The suggestion to shock-collar him was on her tongue, though it never escaping her lips didnât make much of a difference in the endâ he was still invaded in her head, leaving all her rebuttals as open as if she lacked a filter to say it.
Chanyeol just stared forward at the witch unimpressed with the comparison and fighting with every ounce of strength not to reach out and snap her delicate finger as she pointed it towards him. If anything, Chanyeol was obviously Cujo. Sure, he still died at the end, but at least he had a good time.
Heâd hold her tongue when he ripped it out of her throat. âWith what magic?â He challenged cocking an eyebrow. âIâve felt your frustration every time one of your spells has failed over the last few days. I think we both know,â he sneered, repeating her words, âthat youâre useless against me without it. I could tear you to pieces with my bare hands.â Not quite a threat but a fact. Chanyeol had sheer size and strength on his side -not to mention years of fighting experience- a tiny girl was hardly something he was concerned with no matter how savvy she thought she was.
âYou mean the junkie with Stockholm Syndrome? How charming. I didnât realize you were so ambitious,â he deadpanned. He wished he could feel even an ounce of her amusement in attempt to calm down the red building up behind his eyes, but his voice had always been the loudest in the room, so he didnât know why he thought the inside of his head would be any different. He rolled his eyes as she tried to make it seem as if Chanyeol was the one being unreasonable. Granted, he was unreasonable most of the time but wanting to get this shit in control isnât one of those times.
âIf youâd just get over yourself for one fucking second and try to do something other than complaining maybe youâd be able to learn how to keep me out,â he snarled digging his teeth into the insides of his cheek. Lord knew Chanyeol couldnât keep himself in even if he tried, but that was beside the point; if she wanted him out sheâd have to fucking figure it out.
The familiar let a sharp bark of laughter at the suggestion. He was made of adrenaline and rage, callused knuckles and broken bones; he was an unstoppable force with two fists, and it would take more than a fucking witch and a forced bond to change him. Violence was written in his DNA. âWhy?â He asked tilting his head in a perfectly condescending motion. âDoes it bother you to see and feel real power? Imagine picking fights with people your own size and not having to play with knives or magic to win. If you were half the witch you think you are, we would have been done with this days ago.â
His patience was wearing thin, to say the least, and he had never hit a girl before, but he was slowly inching closer and closer at this point. Â
