「 melodies // minah & chanyul 」
The next place Minah was heading to now was her dorm. After her last class of the day, there nothing more to do— literally nothing, it was basically a miracle of some sort. No assignments, no work, nothing else that could possibly occupy her time or induce any stress on her. All she had to do was go find her way to her comfortable bed and take a nice, long nap. The idea itself had her in a more peppier mood than usual considering she rarely had a free time to just relax, gather all her thoughts and well, be lazy. So it was fair to say that she was going to enjoy the time to its fullest, in her own way and nothing would stop her.
Ironically after she thought of that, there was music coming from a distance, not too far away from her though. It was a piano… and wow, it did sound beautiful. It relaxed her and made her curious about who was playing it in the first place. Suddenly, her plans to head straight to her dorm went straight out the window while she followed the sounds like a moth to a flame. Taking a few more steps, she suddenly stopped in front of a room, it was used for the band extracurricular which made a lot more sense and crossed out the possibility of the music being pre-recorded.
The door was already slightly open, so she took as a chance to open even more and poke her head through the opening. And there was a mystery person, a male who seemed extremely engrossed in what he was doing, which was actually really admirable. It also made her feel envious, how nice would it be have a talent like that. To get a closer listen, she began to walk into the room completely but her bag accidentally hit the wall which made a small thud, the sound just that much more prominent in such an empty room.
Chanyul was still new to the school and the people. Apparently half the people here went to high school and considering some of their attitudes, it wasn't something to be fond of. Early this morning, he went wondering around the school grounds and as much as this school was guarded, he didn't have much trouble. He spent hours trying to find the lab building and honestly, it wasn't hard to miss but someone as oblivious as Chanyul couldn't see it if it was right in front of his view.
He somehow ended up in the music wing where band took place. He had no problems finding this room but he ended up walking here unintentionally. He stood at the foot of the door and opened it slightly, taking a peek. It was quiet with the grand piano standing dead center. He knew he shouldn't be here at this hour, especially when he still needed to find his ways around but he couldn't help it. He took feather-like steps to the piano and tapped on the keys. The sound echoed in the room that held barely anything. "Ahh" he groaned as he set his backpack down. it was like the grand piano was pulling him in without twisting an arm.
His fingers moved effortlessly across the line of keys. It was a melody he played whenever he needed some relaxation. Guilt was already beginning to build from the lack of effort he's putting into school work but a short time alone with a calming tune from Yiruma could always cure a small amount of stress. It was gone, however, when a sudden thud caused him to flinch off his seat. He raised to his feet with a hand covering his heart in surprise. There was a girl midway stepping into the room and her bag further to the side. He froze in place, not knowing what to do. "Uh...I..." he stuttered. "Are you..okay" was the only thing that he could think of. He pressed his lips together, confused as to why he just asked that. She was clearly not the cause of the noise.
