saw your reply on the krusie post. i did some experimenting and i can confidently tell you that as long as you COPY your ch 3 save file where you beat the knight (say, save file 1) to the other files (2 and 3) the game will say you “did” it for that file. this is because!! on the chapter select there’s these little things on the bottom left that indicate what save file has the shadow crystals. if you copy ur knight file it’ll show up for all 3!

the best way to know you did it correctly is: copy knight file to an unused file (save file 3); delete save file 3 since it served its purpose; go to ch 4; start a new game (make up a name since it’s a throwaway) for the same file (it’s just easier to check); go thru the game until it lets you do whatever you want; go to castle town immediately and go to the cliffs on the left. you SHOULD be able to pick up both the black shard and shadow crystal.

…basically, all i’m saying is you dont have to defeat the knight ever again after you beat them once lol. it’s the same for the other secret bosses! if you copy ur ch 1 jevil save for file 3, then ch 4 will let you pick up both jevil and knight shadow crystals! then you can always skip those two fights since they’ll be available at the cliff. just make sure to only talk to seam AFTER you pick them up, not before.
