âSounds boring, to be honest.â

âI donât know, but you sounded a little wistful so I thought Iâd include you.â
âSounds boring, to be honest.â
âLet me guess, you two just fell asleep, didnât you?â
jcolden:
âExtremely. You shouldâve been there.â
âOh, yeah? For which part, exactly?â
trayhallifax:
âWhat?â Trayson gave her a look of mock surprise, unable to straighten the crooked grin on his lips. âI was just trying to fix your hair.â
âHelp or take over? Either way, yes.â He paused before finally stepping away, holding a hand out toward the exit, âYour chariot awaits.â
âWeâve been friends long enough for you to know thereâs no fixing this. It does whatever it wants.â She paused, before adding, âI guess you and my hair have that in common.â
âBe nice,â she said, shoving him lightly on her way outside.
trayhallifax:
âMmm. You should call me darling more often. Really rolls off the tongue.â
He took another step, tilting his head to the side as he brushed some hair from her face, âWhatever your pretty little heart desires.â
âOh, well, in that case, Iâll make a note of it.â
âNice try, Hallifax.â Chaos caught Traysonâs hand in her own, holding it there a moment before dropping it. âYou wanna come over to my place, get drunk, and help make dinner?â She grinned. âThatâs a start.â
jcolden:
  âNothing much.â
âMy partner and I got in a car chase slash shootout in the desert the other night, on our way to meet a client. Car broke down and we had to spend the night under the stars. Now sheâs planning retaliation.â
âPartner? That scrappy little thing with the wild hair? Sounds romantic.â
trayhallifax:
â Tsk. You know me so well, darling. â As she stepped away, Trayson jutted out his bottom lip in a dramatic pout.
By the time Chaos was asking her question, heâd already closed some of the space sheâd made between them. â I was in the neighborhood, it was close enough to later, blah, blah, blah⌠Does it really matter? â
âYeah, I do. Probably better than you think, darling.â
âI mean, youâre here, so, I guess not.â Chaos could feel her heartbeat quicken when Trayson stepped closer again; it was a feeling that left her either wanting to kiss him, hug him, or slap him. She always had the hardest time figuring out which. âSo, whatâs the plan?â
jcolden:
âPfff⌠Thatâs pretty fucking tragic.â Julian swallowed a laugh and drummed his fingers on the edge of the table. âNew girl all right?â
âWell, hey, that pretty much sums us up.â
âYeah.â Chaos ran a hand lazily through her hair and let out a bored sigh. âAside from, you know, being blind.â She smiled. âHow about you, Jules? Anything exciting to share?â
trayhallifax:
â MmmâŚÂ â Trayson approached her, getting close, blues sweeping over her as a grin tugged at the corner of his lips, â I could make a listâŚÂ â
âSomething tells me you already have.â Chaos took a step back, rolling her eyes. âWhat are you doinâ here anyway? I thought we werenât meeting until later.â
jcolden:
âIf I knew Alex who I wouldnât still be here.â Julian dropped his heavy bag on the floor and hoisted himself up to sit on an empty table, leaning his elbows on his knees and looking sideways at Chaos.
  âAny news since last time?â
âUh-huh... well good luck with that.â
âNothing youâd care about.â Chaos shrugged. âSome idiot made a dry-ice bomb in a glass bottle the other day. Killed himself and semi-blinded one of the new girls. But, yâknow, vive la rĂŠsistance, I guess.â
jcolden:
  âChaos! Long time no see.â
âI donât know⌠Can you take a delivery? Itâs for somebody named Alex, but I havenât found them yet.â
âYeah, itâs been... a minute.â
âAlex who? Thatâs a pretty common name âround here.â
âCan I help you with something?â
trayhallifax:
â Theyâre whatever I want the- â He got interrupted by her springing to her feet, embracing him in a hug and cracking his features with a broad smile.
He wrapped his arms around her, returning the gesture, and realizing that he might have missed her. A little. â Do I get a welcome like this every time I send dead flowers? Cause then fuck what everyone else does⌠â
âShut up,â she said, kissing his cheek one last time and then taking a step back to look at him. âSorry, I think Iâve got paint on you.â
"So, are you- are you back?"
yarakerrin:
âI was serious, Chaos. I havenât seen you in months, so I came to see how you were doing.â
âHad I known you would greet me with such hostility, though, I wouldâve stayed at the lab.â
âCall me crazy, but I havenât exactly had the best luck with you all coming to visit me.â
âSo, how is everyone, anyway?â
trayhallifax:
â What? I wrote you. I even gave you presents. I donât give anyone presents. â
â â- So say how much you missed me already. â
âYou realize flowers are supposed to be alive when you send them, right?â Chaos was smiling, though, perfectly content with the dried, pressed rose over a lively bouquet any day. A moment later she sprung to her feet. âCome here!â
yarakerrin:
âToo good to have a chat with an old friend, Chaos? Iâm just checking up on you.â
âOh, a chat, huh? Right. Okay, lets chat. Tell me what youâre doing here and weâll chat about that first. Then we can chat about how Iâm not interested.â
alaska-onfire:
âWouldnât that technically not make them both white, then? White is a pretty⌠straight forward colour,â she replied, eyebrows furrowed.Â
Even if she should, Alaska wasnât good at backing down. So much of her life depended on her being able to stand her ground now. âOnly things that need invitations are parties⌠not sure Iâd consider this one,âÂ
âSee, I think Eggshell and Marshmallow here might beg to differ.â
Chaos was obviously in no mood to argue, but the girl was making it hard. âTo be fair, I don't think I'd invite you to a party.â
trayhallifax:
â¡Psh! What makes you think I care if youâre busy? Itâs me.¡Nothing is more important.¡â
