Why am I so desperate to be liked? So jealous of other people.

I feel so lonely when people prefer others over me. I cave in when people show like and kindness towards me but then laugh with someone else more then they laugh at my jokes.

Why am I like this?

So desperate for attention and someone to like me more than anyone else. Eyes follow me around like I’m being stared at. Their lips whisper in my ears my insecurities and what I don’t want people to notice. They say no one likes me for who I am. And the worst part is that it’s true. Nobody knows me the same way as another person. It’s like I have a wall of masks assigned to certain groups and people.

What makes it worse is that whenever someone shows genuine like towards me I’ll miss-read it and then convince myself that I have a crush on them. And the world jinxes me by giving them someone they like more than me and shoving it in my face.

-STORY UNDER CUT-

So, at camp my friend, let's call him C, and I found a dopey white pompom with googly eyes. He snatched it and ran off I chased him until we got to the bathrooms and he ran inside the boy's bathroom, thinking I can't follow because he forgot I was Nonbinary for a sec (I'm fem presenting). I just said in a complete monotone voice, "You're not safe dumbass," and stepped inside. C started screaming bloody murder and locked himself in one of the stalls. :3
