I'm Down- The Beatles (by BeatlesCentral)
I think I an going to start writing more on this thing. Maybe it will be fun !
For tonight though I am going to bed. I've had a looooooong day !
Good times ...
In good news ... My allergies or cooties (which ever) seem to be under control so far this morning.
YAY! And that's the way we like it.
And our words of wisdom from the one and only Yoda:
Do, or do not. There is no 'try'.
This is how it works You're young until you're not You love until you don't You try until you can't You laugh until you cry You cry until you laugh And everyone must breathe Until their dying breath No, this is how it works You peer inside yourself You take the things you like And try to love the things you took And then you take that love you made And stick it into some Someone else's heart Pumping someone else's blood And walking arm in arm You hope it don't get harmed But even if it does You'll just do it all again And on the radio You hear November Rain That solo's awful long But it's a good refrain You listen to it twice 'Cause the DJ is asleep
And I always find, yeah, I always find something wrong You been puttin' up wit' my shit just way too long I'm so gifted at findin' what I don't like the most So I think it's time for us to have a toast
HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!
I am grateful for having loving, hardworking parents that have dedicated their lives to making mine and my sisters lives better. I am grateful for my sisters. They are the funniest, smartest sisters ever ! My Grandparents who are just amazing. My aunts and uncles who make me laugh and make sure I am on the right track. I am grateful for my cousins who I love very much ! I am grateful for my friends who have become a part of my family through the years.
I just gotta say this to get it off my chest and then I will get off my soap box. The new anti-immigration law is BAD, people. Yes, the Federal government does have a law stating that all people in the united states who are not citizens must have their Federally issued ID AT ALL TIMES. That in and of itself is not why people are getting so angry at the new law. The reason why people are getting so upset is because the new law is taking it one step further and stating that if there is "reasonable suspicion" of being here illegally, law enforcement is able to detain you. Now, you tell me, how else, besides the color of your skin, would law enforcement suspect "reasonable suspicion" of being here illegally. I agree, that if you break the law, you should be able to present all documents to the law enforcement agent and then proper procedure should be followed. But people saying stuff like "it's not bad, we've had this law for years" and "but they're here Illegally", need to READ the new bill and the existing law. Maybe the government should impose higher penalties on the employers they catch hiring illegal immigrants to make it a bit more unappealing to come to this state. But don't take it out on people who are here legally and trying to live their lives. Everyone has the right to walk the streets without fear of being stopped because they're a little darker than the average American.
