I’m really sad because Iron Fist was so hated and I love Danny Rand and Colleen Wing so much and it was a decent show and it doesn’t get enough credit and I liked Finn Jones’ portrayal of Danny and ugh.

While it's a small minority I've seen it said in the tags Danny and Colleen being romantic in show was unnecessary & they could've stay platonic? And ugh it's so annoying since WoC rarely get to be love interest I hate they when people say that line like look at the MCU fandom tops ships are just non romantic/friends like Kastle (which I love!) and imo it's kind of a double stranded for Danny x Colleen. What do you think?

well i mean. the writers could have left it platonic. kept it more like the comics. and yeah that would have worked, i guess, but. personally i really think that this relationship has been… really good for both of them?? i mean after all the hand crap that went down that i literally did not ask for, they’re in a really good place. people can argue that it would have been the same platonically but it’s not. not really. romantic and platonic relationships are pretty different and idk i just think it worked well and for the characters and where they were at the beginning and where they are now it just fits. colleen, my dear child, really does need to be able to love someone like that ok like. i will fight u. she needs this. and danny needs her, too. they both need someone to lean on and support the other and non-platonically love. (because again, it’s different, and worked better in this situation than a platonic relationship. fight me) people can say what they want of course but ignoring the hand stuff that went down, the danny/colleen relationship is actually surprisingly healthy considering what we normally get and like. bless you marvel for giving us this. give us more of it.

(and i say all of this both as a hardcore shipper bc if you’ve spent any time on my blog you know i am one, but also as someone who has analyzed the heck out of their relationship while watching the show, so)
