Sitting under his work table where also a rack of prototype prosthetics. “ this is what I have, this is the best it lasts the longest and it’s relatively easy to maintain. ” He taps one small but the goes down the line “These others are okay but they wear and tear with casual use. If you however go hard and fast you’ll run through it in about a month. This last one is a temporary thing as in just for a week maybe”

Oh.  Oh that was adorable.  He thought she’d actually been worried about price.  She smiled softly and braced her hands on her hips, shaking her head slightly. 

“Been a while.  A month, maybe?  Made a few trips through the Dust though so...”  She trailed off and grinned a bit wider.  “Naw, gimme the best you got kid.  Don’t skimp on anything.  My baby is worth it, and I can swing it, no worries.”  Between her savings from before, her stolen pension from Hyperion, and steady income now, she could swing just about anything.

“Careful though, she’s got a lot of character to her.  If you’re gonna work on her keep an eye out for traps and shit.  I have a few people out for my head, and be damned if they’re gonna take me alive.”  She ruffled her hair and shifted her weight once more.  “That’s why I was just asking for the parts.  Didn’t want anyone to get hurt.”

Oh the cringing.  She twitched every time those little hands weasled something else out of place.  A choked noise escaped when the grenades came out, which she quickly swallowed and tried to adopt a casual air.  Her car with rigged with all kinds of goodies.  Never let it be said she’d be taken alive, or without a fight.

“Wouldn’t be the first time.”  She shifted from foot to foot, watching, but not wanting to yell at a kid, or jump in her car and ride like hell.  He was trying to help, maybe.  “Unfortunately.  And custom parts ain’t cheap.  That’s the next part to that, isn’t it?”
