You didn't care that i wasn't the daredevil any more Your Mom was probably right not letting you see me straight afterwards , I guess that was a decision made between all of our parents. Artie: Well unless you'all get married in my barn i'm gonna be doing it all on skype , Or the feed store cause apparently according to dad we're trying again next week

Charity: Yeah, I know that now but what you were going through was much worse and my 10 year old mind couldn't put that together.

Charity: Still not gonna admit that I annoy you then? LOL

Charity: A barn wedding? I'm pretty sure we would both nix that idea. If it happens, it will probably be here in LA or back home on a beach or something equally messy.

Charity: You're already a badass superhero on your own and we all know Iron Man is overrated. Be better than Iron Man.

Artie: Whatcha Mama say?

Artie: Awwww thats just so adorable. You gave him a promise ring. but I'm disappointed I can't by a hat just yet

Artie: You trying to give the idiotic gun lovers of this country something to use as target practice ?

Charity: About a month after your accident, I asked her for about the 40th time to bring me to see you and she said you still weren't up to seeing anyone. I started crying and asked her if she thought you didn't want to be my friend anymore because you wouldn't see me. She went on to explain how you would always be a brother to me and that I would likely always annoy you like a sister.

Charity: So that's how I've always seen you in my life. Though I'm pretty sure she got the part about me annoying you wrong. Either that or you just hide it better, lol.

Charity: If it's meant to happen, which he says it is, then it will. You have bigger decisions to decide than what hat to wear, ha. Who're you representin'? will be the question on everyone's lips.

Charity: Somewhere, Trick is crying in his beer that you called him an idiot, jsyk. I'd climb up there and shoot back. Or we can just have it made out of titanium or something.

Artie: Don't get that excited chaz, it's not that big a deal, i took a full dose before I went to bed. see i do mean it when I ask you to marry me. XD

Artie: Wait??? What??? You're engaged. OMG Charity That is like the BEST news EVER. oops I just squealed and made Tess Jump. Where's the picture of the ring. Can I tell Mom or is it a secret.

Artie: I'm gonna stay an enigma. No one is ever gonna know who the man behind the magnificent editing is.

Charity: It's been a long time coming, so you shut it and let me enjoy this new found sense of peace you seem to be carrying around. Nope, I never thought that for a moment, probably because of something my Mama said after your accident.

Charity: Calm yo cajones! LOL. No, we aren't engaged, per se. However, I did give him a ring and told him that I promise if and when I marry anyone it will be him. His response? "What are we, twelve?" ROFL. The ring now sits on a chain around his neck and I think Ryan is happier than he will admit to me about it. You can tell her if you want to, not that there is much to say about it.

Charity: This sounds like a billboard with your pic needs to happen somewhere in central LA.

Artie: I was definitely hoodwinked that's for sure. He took advantage of my half high state as i'd taken half a tablet to try and loosen my back up a bit.

Artie: You know that's not gonna happen. I may have left the ranch for the first time since forever but a trip out west, even the thought of it is freaking me out. But I cant wait until you come back. I still miss ya,

Artie: You Played Dungeons and Dragons ????? in his dreams.

Artie: Mark their papers with a big fat F and hand them a course directory with a post it note attached saying choose one

Artie: Not really works pretty quiet right now. I'm hoping the film festival in La is going to bring in something fresh. Even with my Diva like demands that I only work from home lol

Charity: This news just keeps getting better and better! Only half a pill? Sounds like things are going good on the pain management front as well. You know they say a drunk mouth speaks sober thoughts?

Charity: You will get here, that I believe in the depths of my soul. Still gonna come see you first, lol.

Charity: Ugh, no! I put a ring on it (sort of) I'm staying out of that argument.

Charity: When you do make it out here, you can multitask. I'd bet these HWood directors would love to put a face with the name and work.

Artie: it kind of happened. I was chatting to dad and kind of ended up in the car. I think dad manhandled me in there but it did feel nice having a change of scenery even it was just a ride out to the feed store.

Artie: TMI Chaz TMI. Did he get my gifts.

Artie: Aww come on Chaz, the're students , they have to learn to be reach your level of Haute cusine . That's what you are there for to help them reach that level of excellence.

Charity: Gotta love your dad's idea of a sneak attack! That's the whole "wind in my hair, sun on my face" thing I always go on about. Nothing beats a warm S.Carolina day, except maybe an LA one. Speaking of, you should come visit us. I'm definitely coming to you first tho. Otherwise, I may never see you again.

Charity: How is that TMI? Get your mind out of the gutter, I didn't say what we did, which is something you would be over the moon about if you knew ;) He got them and said to tell you that " Thanks, Artie! You didn't have to get me anything and it's not going to keep me from kicking your ass in Mario cart when we come home so I hope you're ready." His words, not mine. LOL.

Charity: I get that, I do. But these kids have little to no focus and it drives me insane! There are a couple that I suspect food isn't really their passion and have no idea how to point them in the right direction. Maybe I'm in over my head :( How about you? Any more projects in the works?

Artie: Haha yeh that's it. Seriously though I didn't get out the car , Tried but couldn't do it, but as Dad said small steps and even going with him was a freaking big step

Artie: So what you been up to Girl other than keeping Ryans bed warm by the looks of your instagram.

Charity: You seem disappointed when the important thing is that you tried. You can build on that effort. What made you decide to do it?

Charity: Had to celebrate his birthday somehow ;)

Charity: Not a whole lot, really. My life now consists of grading papers, grazing on food that usually isn't up to par and memorizing weekend flight schedules.

Artie: Yeh I know. I just want it so much chaz. A wife , kids you know the full works and the older i get the more I want it. What is it they say about desiring what you can't have

Artie: Your'll get the hang of it. If a dog can learn to do it your'll soon be riding the waves like a pro. Sending me a picture isn't as silly as you probably look in that hat lol. Why do you think i really want to see a picture. A bit of nostalgia's good for the soul and i havn't warn my dad pants for a while now, let me have this one little moment of being crazily obsessive about you being safe.

Artie: ooh go ryan. Funny how life goes. It was always me that had the dream of rubbing shoulders with the stars , hey i was going to be one of them remember. A J Abrams the great director. Oh my god that dream seems like it was one from a life time ago. But times goes so quickly these days, it probably was. :-) Good job he is stubborn cause i always knew you two would be great together despite you telling me otherwise. See Uncle artie always knew the truth lol

Charity: I believe you can have those things, the problem is that those things don't just fall into our laps. There are times when you have to be proactive about the things you want.

Charity: Nah, it's not on my list of things to know. I only did it because Ryan loves it so much and wanted to teach me. I'd rather watch him surf, the view is amazing!

Charity: It goes back to going after what you want. Do you really intend to stay there stuck in place while the world passes you by, Artie?

Yeh you’re right I should tell her, in case she starts thinking she needs to buy a wedding hat. Even though I’m pretty sure she ‘s worked out who its from just by the contents of the package cause she smirked when i opened it. Oh god Carole tried to set me up on a blind date. Turns up for dinner one evening with this girl who apparently was her “niece” She spend the whole evening talking about thread counts on bed linen I swear Tess was giving her evils through out the whole god awful experience. If that’s all this town has to offer since you left, I’m giving up looking.

Well maybe its become more exciting since the last time I ventured out. I’ve heard we’ve now got a duck pond in the middle of the park , but how true that is i don’t know. I asked the rents but that just lead to Mom suggesting that we go and see how true it is together. I know she means well, but sometimes I wish she’d leave things alone. I’m the happiest ive been in years. Never thought i’d find contentment just by someone giving me the opportunity to do something that love. If you’re in LA the last weekend in June there is a film festival there. Look out for showings of a short film called flowers in the dust. Cause yours truly is responsible for the editing. When’s it gonna start getting warmer, cause I know how much you love feeling the sun on your skin. ?

It could be worse, she could plan on buying the dress for your intended. A hat is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but yeah, definitely tell her. Does this mean she doesn’t have you on the sodium watch anymore? Oh my gosh, a niece of Miss Carole’s could not have been a good thing. Did your mom know it was going to happen? The people do make the town, but you are part of that too. At least with you there, I have reason to come back.

Your mom only wants the best for you and let’s be honest, she and your dad aren’t going to be around forever. So this is likely just her way of making sure you start to get out and live your life before she isn’t around to buffer you from everything. That’s all anyone has ever wanted, was to see you thrive and not hide away so go easy on her. Actually, I think Ryan is planning on taking a vacation that week and coming home to see his parents and since my summers are free, I’m tagging along so if you have a copy of it, I’d love to come watch with the man behind the magical editing button.

Artie: True, but I'd rather they spent what limited funding is put into medical research into finding that cancer cure than working out how to make Artie Abrams fertile. Just having a gal say they love me and a kid biological or not come sit on my lap whilst i read them a bedtime story will be enough for me.

Artie: So that's why you never put them in any of the baked good you cooked at home. I always did wonder. Na raspberries it is. If i'm rebelling I'm going all out. By passing mainstream going straight to pretty darn bad ass

Artie: I gonna send Ryan a water resistant headcam so he can catch you at your best. XD. You know i'm gonna worry about you even more now you live over the other side of the country. Just humour me and say yes Artie , i'm wearing my hat. Sent me a selfie with it placed firmly on your head, and then i'll be a content little bunny and you can remove said headgear and carry on your day knowing that i think your out and about all warm and cosy in the hand knitted teacosy i so lovely got someone to knit for me lol.

Artie: The boys done good. Always knew he would he was always my superhero remember. Now its time for him to be someone elses

Artie: 8 hours is nothing when you think how long it took the two of you to actually get together. It's not surprising that the A J Abrams dating agency failed at the first hurdle with you two as my only clients lol.

Charity: That's the great thing about medicine. There are a lot of people in that field and they can work on more than one thing at once :) You're gonna get that and so much more.

Charity: Nah, I use them. Just not in anything that I personally, have to eat. Other people love them, especially a good raspberry tart so it'd be stupid for me to take them out of things. As much as I hate em, they are a money maker.

Charity: There was nothing to see, really. He was just trying to teach me how to do something he loves to do and it was fun. I still don't know how to surf though, lol. Then you go ahead and think that but I'm not sending a picture as proof, that is so silly. As much as I love you, you are not my parent and I don't need to "prove" anything to you. I feel like we just stepped back in time.

Charity: I know! So proud of that man. You should see him starting to rub elbows with the celebs. He doesn't get star struck until later in private and its so cute. We would have gotten it together eventually. Its a good thing that Ryan is probably far more stubborn than I and isn't afraid to issue an ultimatum if he knows he can come out on the winning end.

Yeh I Did and thank you! . You can NEVER go over board on Bacon Girl. Mom got very excited when it turned up and keeps quizzing me as to who my valentine is. I haven’t told her it’s you . Doesn’t do any harm to keep the old girl guessing.

Probably exactly the same as when you left, this is dullsville remember, which is why pretty much everyone’s left and why i’m still here. lol

YAY! You’re welcome. That makes me so happy to hear, its harder than I thought it would be to coordinate getting both of the packages there on time. You meanie, tell her so she won’t be on pins and needles. Wait, she saw the bacon!?! Oh my gosh, she is gonna kill me.

It is not dullsville, it’s home. Trust me when I say that I probably traded down, lol. There are no warm temps this time of year up here. The people are lovely and the city is beautiful but its sooo danged cold! I can’t wait for the weekend to make my way back down to LA, where it’s almost blazing hot.

Artie: Not unless medical science comes up with some magic. I used to get upset that there wouldn't be any biological little Artie's, running around the ranch or, but even with help on certain things, it's still gonna be impossible for me to actually father a child. I've accepted that now. But there are so many kids out there who need a loving home just cause the're adopted doesn't won't mean I won't be their Dad right? It just won't be genitally, Gotta find some gal who wants to be with me first though.

Artie: Actually I was thinking of Raspberries lol, Strawberries are far to main stream for the new Badass me.

Artie: OMG Please tell me there is video footage of this, because if not why not? Yikes you better be wearing that woolly hat i sent you for Christmas? Last thing I need is to hear you're sick cause you've not wrapped up.

Artie: I'm crossing everything you can make it. It would be even better if Ry could come as well, but I understand why it probably isn't possible. So the two of you still doing okay? It makes me so happy that the two of you finally got your act together and admitted you liked each other.

Charity: Medical science is making leaps and bounds everyday, unless you're saying you have lost all hope for a cancer cure as well.. Of course they would still be yours but I'm convinced you'll get a biological one as well.

Charity: Unknown fact, raspberries are my least favorites. Love the smell but hate the taste. Eh, you can go mainstream, it would still be a step up or forward.

Charity: Of Ryan trying to teach me to surf? No, there isn't; we were in the water! OMG. Stop parenting. Not wrapping up doesn't make you sick, germs make you sick.

Charity: He's doing okay, he moved into entertainment law, partly to help some of the women out there stop being preyed on by men. It's his contribution to the #METOO cause. Makes me love him even more. We're doing good though we both hate the 8 hour commute. My airline miles are bananas!!
