I live to be completely fucking wrong and have zero spaces on my bingo card filled by the end of the chapter I love that feeling. The only “hype moments and aura” I care about are the ones I will have when like two things I say are kind of maybe right maybe. The photo album with the poses was a big moment for when I liked Asriel Knight.

Ralsei is transgender. That was originally with the Asriel Mantleholder stuff but Galsei is actually 100% true so it doesn’t belong with that.

I think it would be really interesting if the ch6 party split to allow Noelle to join the party, leading into the rest of the chapter, went like:

- Noelle shows up

- Some time later, Susie finds out about Kris’s betrayal

- She storms off, and tries to take Noelle with her

- Ralsei, recognizing that Noelle needs help adjusting to the Dark Worlds, puts her foot down and tells Susie that Noelle needs to stay with her and Kris. Noelle, still reeling from the information she’s been given, and not sure how to handle all of whatever just went down between Kris and Susie, isn’t really able to speak up (this feels a bit weird for how it takes away Noelle’s agency, but I think this would be earlier on in the chapter before she develops more and becomes more confident, and Ralsei needs the development just as much anyway.)

- Susie just gives up on trying to bring any of them with her and leaves.

- Multiple points in which we watch Susie experiencing The Horrors, it becomes a priority to find and save her

- When the party finally gets to her, she’s being attacked by something/someone, but, before the killing blow, Kris jumps in front of her, stopping her from getting hit but losing their hand in the process. Susie gets what Ralsei got in Chapter 5, that Kris still did care about her and everyone else.

Genuinely surprised to see this from Jamie p and super glad as well. I feel like it's become such a pattern of seeing white queer creators casually say some racist shit or something to come out and then never properly apologize.

So seeing Jamie Paige be outright "No fuck y'all stupid racist white teens, she'd rather stop making music catering to you than let you make a fool of her art" is incredibly refreshing and makes me glad that to be a fan of hers and feel both seen and comfortably safe knowing that for once someone has the decency not to be a racist piece of shit!

Also go listen to Slayr right now! I remember hearing a couple of his songs before, and liking all of them, and this one is no different. Honestly I hope we get to see more hip-hop sampling and remixes of vocaloid music because its so so cool and wish it was done more often.

A bit more self explanatory, but I'm glad he's confident to state it for the people in the back that Vocaloid isn't just a white people thing. It's a bit bittersweet to me in a sense that a lot of black creators online feel the need to hide themselves, but I definitely understand (I'm guilty of this sometime too the way Tumblr acts sometimes) but I'm glad to see that people are being more openly anti racist for once and I hope this trend doesn't stop.

Also I know it's already his most popular song, but it is such a banger too, go listen to this and the rest of his vocaloid music too!

If you have evidence behind your belief, you may be entitled to having your belief be recognized as a theory rather than a headcanon.

All jokes aside, if your trans reading of a character has evidence and reasoning based in the text/the text’s analysis, then you’re not wrong or “arrogant” or “pushy” for calling it a theory. Theories do not suddenly have a higher bar for entry as soon as the word “transgender” appears in it. If Gaster can be green then the character you analyzed can be trans and treated with the same or higher level of analytic legitimacy.

I wish there were a term synonymous to analysis that wasn’t for some reason held in lower regard compared to theory in the Deltarune community.

By all means an analysis is closer to canon than a theory, as theories are an outside claim being tied to the actual text, while an analysis like the case of Galsei is just… reading the text and saying what the text is talking about. And yet because analysis doesn’t allow “every character is invalidated and Gaster is green” it’s treated as somehow worse than theorizing.

for anyone who's worried about the "speculation" in the newsletter referring to galsei:

Unlike most other "foreshadowing" in the game, (most) galsei evidence both makes sense and seems intentional. compare it to evidence for each knight candidate, friend, etc. Deconfirming galsei wouldn't just go against wild speculation, it would go against evidence that is actually evidence.

Realistically chapter 5 hasn't been out long enough for the galsei discourse to be the first thing on toby's radar. it's much more likely to be about knight discourse, which has been going on for multiple years and has also consistently been much more common in the community

(extra point for Knight Discourse People seem much more toxic in general to people who don't support their theory than any other theorists I've seen, especially transfem ralsei truthers, and probably need this reminder way more than we do)

I HIGHLY doubt toby would explicitly deconfirm a character's LGBTQ reading, especially given Ralsei Canon They/Them Usage. Unless Ralsei being a cis man is super important to the plot (which... is basically impossible, let's be honest here), it's not going to be deconfirmed.

If official announcements post-Ralsei coming out misgender them to “prevent spoilers” I’m genuinely going to riot but I trust Toby not to let that happen.

Ralsei will come out in Chapter 6 and use exclusively she/her afterwards but nobody will actually turn to the screen and say “Ralsei is a transgender woman who uses she/her exclusively now” so:

-the Wiki will not list he/him as “(formerly)”, keeping it the same, and will also cite she/her as “(latter half of ch6 on certain playthroughs only)”

-the theory space will discuss how all of the explicit transgender stuff revolving around her is actually an elaborate allusion to a ch7 mid boss, all while still using he/him for Ralsei almost exclusively

-the flag that controls the pronoun change will be called “Ralsei is transgender” and people will say it doesn’t count as evidence because it’s in the files and not onscreen
