Charles was born in a long line of successful assassins and so it was no secret that Charles was destined to achieve great things. Being taught all the skills by his assassin parents, it is fair to say that he is one of the best of his generation and he has never proven wrong. The Templars have a price on his head and this only amuses Charles, which might make him feel indestructible and overconfident. As often is the case, Charles is send out to foreign countries to perform assassinations or to retrieve an artifact. He was send to an old assassin base in Paris to see if it was to be used in the future but once there he made a big discovery. By accident, he had found a secret compartment which held a note by the Assassins of old about a Templar plan in the future to change the past to their own advantage. With this discovery, Charles went back to Washington with haste to hand over the message to the Master Assassin. Charles his greatest assignment was yet to come. He was to follow the Templars back to the French Revolution so that they could rewin the battle.

Charles realized soon enough that he and his men were stuck in the past but never once did Charles falter in his actions but made sure they had a stronghold and alibis. Now known as Master Assassin, they teamed up with the few assassins still left standing and made the first plans to fight back against the Templars. He kept his name and is known as the protector of the revolutionists. He has fortune which he spends on armour, weapons and food for his men and when he runs out of his fortune he simply goes recollecting them from Templar or guard bodies. The King took an obvious disliking to him and so the King’s Guard will often try to arrest him, but to no avail. Among the Revolutionists, it is known that Charles keeps a lantern with him, that burns outside the residence where he is, which is either his estate or the brothel, so when in need, follow the light.

CONNECTIONS:
Lucien Burke: His best friend and second in command. He knows Lucien like no one else does and the other way around. It is Lucien who he counts upon when he needs things done and he is the one where Charles goes to when he needs a distraction.
Maria de’ Medici: As the keeper of one of the Assassin hideouts, Charles has a good relationship with Maria and they don’t need to use much words in order to understand each other. He has a protective relationship with her and even though he knows she can handle herself, he wishes her to stay out of trouble.
Jean du Lac: The two are natural enemies, as the both of them are the leaders of both factions. Jean is everything that Charles isn’t, but the two are equally strong so far Charles hasn’t managed to outwit him, which frustrates him to the bone.
