Charles took a seat in the restaurant he had agreed to meet Connor at. It had been a while since they last saw each other, and it was safe to say that things had changed. Even after the conversation he had had with both Harmony and Connor ,things had changed. He ordered a scotch neat as well as some bread while he waited for his friend to arrive.

“I know it’s cheesy, but every moment with you is a moment well spent.” Kathryn agreed.  She’d spent way too much time missing Charles, and she never wanted to have to do it again. Kathryn leaned over and gave him a small kiss on the cheek.

Charles smiled at her. “Can I get you anything?” He asked her. “I am assuming you want to spend the night?” He added, as he forgot for a second there that she actually did not live there with him at this moment in time. That was probably a discussion for another day though.

Charles could not stop smiling. In fact, he had not been able to stop smiling ever since that night he had asked Kathryn to marry him. “I can’t believe I am actually saying this, but I am getting married.” He announced. “I did it, I proposed and she said yes. She clearly does not know what she is getting herself into, but I guess she will find out soon enough.” He chuckled.

“I love you too.” Kathryn replied, moving closer so she could curl up next to him and snuggle. She was pretty happy with the idea of just staying in bed with him forever, but she knew that eventually they would have to get up and leave, but with any luck it wouldn’t be until the morning. “You know, I missed falling asleep next to you at night. And I am glad that now I am going to get to do it forever.” 

Charles placed his arms around her once she came closer. He could get used to this again, having her close like this. “Me too.” He told her. “I have missed a lot of things with you.” He said. “Even just.. this. The cuddles.” He told her with a smile.

Charles smiled. “I am glad.” He said, before he leaned in and kissed her forehead gently. He still could not believe the fact that she was now his fiancee. “I love you.” He told her again. “And I can’t wait for my future with you.” He added, knowing he had tried to be very guarded with her and try to take things slow, but tonight has just.. Brought up to many old feelings and memories. It just felt right.

After, Charles laid down next to her on the bed. He was breathing heavily as it felt like he just had had the workout of a life time. He looked over at her, smiling. “That was.. Amazing.” He said. “In every way possible.” He turned to his side and gently began stroking her arm. “Are you okay?” He asked her, wanting to be sure she had enjoyed it as well.

“Yeah, some woman are like that. Not me personally, but thankfully Connor is the king of giant gestures so it really worked out in my favor.” Harmony said, knowing she was known for liking things to be a little dramatic. “That’s good, I guess. It would suck if she was shy around you forever.” 

“I am guessing he is spoiling you rotten.” He told her with a chuckle. Charles nodded. “Yeah, I mean she already showed improvement back in New York, but I don’t know. It is different this time. She is different.”

“That sounds good.” Charles said. “I know. And all those questions, I could not help them myself half the time because they were asking so much random stuff.”

“Yeah, New York is one of the biggest cities in the world, isn’t it? So it only makes sense it would have a lot more options than any other city in the states.” Mia replied, knowing that NYC was the biggest city in America. “Sadly, it’s always full of tourists.”

“Yeah I believe it is.” He told her, thinking he had read that somewhere. “I mean, I am glad there are still options around here, and there seems to be more and more for every week.” He said. “Oh yes. Tourists.”

“I agree, the pizza was to die for. I think my favourite part was just the food in general. There was literally a million different options, so you never had to ahve the same stuff twice.” Mia responded, reminiscing to all of the things she had tried. “I really liked just spending an afternoon in Central Park too though. It was nice to see so much green in the middle of a giant city.”

Charles nodded. “It sure had options to be honest with you. I guess it comes with the size and demand from the people living there, but still the food was the best thing.” He agreed. “Yeah that is true. It was the pretties part of New York.”

Charles proceeded by slowly removing the fabric that was covering her up. Charles smiled. “What was your favorite part about the big apple?” He asked her out of curiosity, but also because this whole conversation had made him want to reminisce a bit. “I for one miss the pizza.” He said with a light chuckle, taking a bit of his food, even though he now was in fact craving pizza.
