“Some more than others. Some of these girls are ugly,” Phi Phi said, scrunching up her face a bit as if she actually meant that. In truth, she enjoyed ripping on them, but if someone else tried to come for them, she’d probably leap to their defense a little too quickly. It was how a lot of them operated. She wanted to add a joke about how she wouldn’t mind if Courtney was the next to go because she was too pretty, but her tongue wouldn’t turn that way because of what was going on and because she would never want for that to actually happen. “Fuck, this place is going to force me to show my nice side, isn’t it? I want to go find Courtney now to make sure she’s safe. And Max too, actually.”
“You keepin’ things to yourself?” He teases lightly before she continued, not sure if the other had meant the ‘ugly’ comment. “Well we’ve all got our own tastes.” Charlie says trying to ride the line of joking and serious because he honestly had trouble deciphering the other’s jokes or truths at the current moment. Though as the queen continued, ‘showing her nice side’ as she’d said, he knew the previous was no more than a joke. “Well, if you want some company I wouldn’t mind helping you look. That way we stay in a buddy system until we find our actual pairings?”
