The male smirked, though it was more skepticism than anything. âYou really think thereâs hope for me?â He laughed at the thought. âYou donât even know me. Itâs easy for someone like you to say and do but me, Iâm so damn far down the rabbit hole, thereâs no going back,â he stated with seriousness, his words having more meaning than the subject of failing classes. In an instant, his mood had changed from serious back to his usual smart-ass self. He smiled with a rise of his brows, âAll night, huh? I like the sound of that, princess.â His eyes landed on her cheeks and he winked at her, making sure she knew he saw the pink brushing her cheeks.
Charlieâs determined attitude shifted while she watched the males mouth move and listened to the words he was speaking. She figured they werenât talking about school anymore, but she didnât have the heart to indulge in such a private matter in fact she didnât even have the chance too before the devilish smirk was back on Heathâs face sending shivers to places she didnât want shivers in. âThereâs always hope... Especially if you work hard enough to get to the places you want to be.â She murmured softly while her blue eyes hardened on his. âIs that really all that comes to mind when you hear the phrase âall nightâ?â She inquired hoping the heat in her cheeks soon faded because she didnât think sheâd survive the night if his teasing kept getting to her. âWhat will make you work on this assignment? Seriously we donât even have to stay in the library, but I canât just not help you because this is my job and unlike otherâs I tend to take this seriously so please...â Charlie didnât mean for her voice to crack on please, but she was begining to get agitated with his attitude to the near point she would beg for him to just write one sentence and be done. âPlease....â
