God he was infuriating to Charlie from the way he teased her to the way he seemingly didn’t care about his schoolwork. Everything about him screamed that he was full of arrogance and trouble two things that never boded well with the young woman. His comment about there being no hope seemingly stuck a deep chord in her as she believed there was hope for everyone, especially someone like him. Furrowing her brows together Charlie adamantly shook her head. “I don’t think that,” She argued staring him straight in the eyes so she got her message across loud and clear. “I think that there’s always room for improvement and I don’t care if you don’t think this is going to work because I think it will all.” Nodding affirmatively Charlie almost got stuck staring at the irises of his eyes drawing her in like a moth to the flame before she ducked back to her books. “I don’t care how long it takes we can stay here all night.” Freezing when she realized just exactly what she said the blonde looked up at him quickly. “Working on the essay of course.” She stuttered out a light blush dusting her cheeks.
The male smirked, though it was more skepticism than anything. “You really think there’s hope for me?” He laughed at the thought. “You don’t even know me. It’s easy for someone like you to say and do but me, I’m so damn far down the rabbit hole, there’s no going back,” he stated with seriousness, his words having more meaning than the subject of failing classes. In an instant, his mood had changed from serious back to his usual smart-ass self. He smiled with a rise of his brows, “All night, huh? I like the sound of that, princess.” His eyes landed on her cheeks and he winked at her, making sure she knew he saw the pink brushing her cheeks.
