“Every time someone says we don’t need feminism anymore, things like this come to mind. Due to insufficient dowry this young girl’s husband lacerated her face with a razor blade.” (Gwalior - India) - ph. Adrian Fisk
A family portrait.
I started a project while at university exploring in to family relationships and genetics within the family. I looked in to what was expected of a family portrait and researched in to family photographs given to me by different family members, friends and images found in junk sales. This is a family portrait of my step dad and his wife a year and a half after her passing. I managed to capture a small collection of images here but John found it overwhelming showing his emotions in front of the camera. I think the image i selected speaks for its self.
