“Perfect.” Bella said happily. It’d be nice to have the Wood women all together. They were all so strong and without Oliver, now more than ever, they had to be. Her brows raised slightly at her sister’s words. She bit her lip before her head nodded confidently. “Let’s do it.” She moved back to her broom and took it in her hands. She missed the feeling of her broom in her hands, but at the same time, all the thoughts of Oliver kept coming back. She took a deep breath as she mounted it. “What if I can’t do it anymore, Char?”
Charlotte had watched Bella before she had heard her sisters question. “You know who used to say there is no word such as can’t who would give us a pep talk and make us believe in our abilities” Charlotte said quietly as she had put her books in a neat pile on where she was sitting. “Dad. You know he would look at us both like we were crazy. You’ll be okay and if for some reason that can’t become a reality, we’ll get you back on a broom.” Charlotte promised.
mitchellwoods:
When he noticed her adjust the stack of books in her arms, he moved forward and took a few for her, holding them under his arm without issue. “Ah.” He nodded, smiling at his cousin before looking around the pitch. “And is it safe?”
“Well.” Charlotte begun with a casual nod. “That’s something, i’ve gotta discuss with the Team Manager and the management as it’s their responsibility to look after the players but from what my intern eyes can spot.. it seems fine.”
mitchellwoods:
“Shit. Sorry, Char.” He apologized, covering his eyes with his hand from the sunlight that was beating down on him. “What uh, brings you to the Magpies pitch?”
“You’re forgiven.” Charlotte commented as she had adjusted her stack of books. “Part of my job, being a Ministry intern.. Inspecting the pitches, making sure they’re safe for the Quidditch players.” she said.
mitchellwoods:
“Can I uh, help you with something? This is a closed practice, mate.”
“Really? Not the nicest way to address your cousin.”
What do you most regret?
“The countless fights and arguments I had with my father..”
Darkest thought you've ever had?
“My own death from killing myself.”
chaser-isabellawood:
“You’ll bring him home for the holidays?” Bella wanted to spend some time with the dog, so she was hopeful that Charlotte wasn’t going to just skip out on going home. Their mother would still need them, especially for the first holidays without Oliver. “They are…I’m actually trying to come out here to finally get back on my broom.” she said, nodding towards her broom on the ground.
Too be fair, Charlotte was actually plaining to hide away at the Ministry and work. She knew she should be at home for her mother and Bella but, home just reminded her of Oliver. “Keeper will even have a bag packed especially for the occasion.” Charlotte promised her sister with a small, half hearted smile. She had pushed her dark hair off her face as she had glanced at the broom before looking back at Bella. “Well.. let’s do this.” Charlotte said with a nod. “Plus, the pitch is 100 percent safe aswell.”
chaser-isabellawood:
“Uh huh.” Bella suspected that her sister maybe could’ve asked to come and see her. She sort of hoped that was the case anyway, but who knew. “At least you have him.” She was glad that Charlotte had someone. She had a ton of people surrounding her at school, her sister didn’t have that sort of support anymore.
“Too be fair, it’s properly better for him than sleeping on a cardboard box on the street.” Charlotte explained to Bella. “But he’s a beautiful dog.” She said, letting a small content sigh pass her lips as she looked at her sister. “Quidditch trials are coming, you ready for them Captain?” she asked Bella.
chaser-isabellawood:
Bella let out a soft chuckle as she looked at her sister. “Let me guess, that’s your doing?” She teased. It was one of the first times she felt like she didn’t have the world on her shoulders and it was much needed before she attempted to fly once again. “I know, my hugs are kind of spectacular, right?”
“I’m the intern that drew the short end of the wand.” Charlotte said with a casual shrug of her shoulders. “And I mean, Keeper gives amazing hugs and is an amazing room mate but something was telling me I needed to keep myself grounded.”
chaser-isabellawood:
She let out a shaky breath as she took a moment and just was able to be there with Charlotte. It’d been a hard couple of weeks and the sisters hadn’t really been able to see each other besides the funeral. “What are you doing here?” Bella asked, not sure if she was doing work or not.
She was glad, she was just glad to be able to hug Bella. Including the last time they were actually together was the funeral for Oliver, it wasn’t the best occasion and Charlotte definitely wasn’t in the head space to deal with people at the time. “Well.” Charlotte said taking in a deep breathe. “The pitch needed, to be looked at because that’s now a thing for health and safety.” She explained with a small casual headshake. “And you’re owl’s aren’t good enough for me, I needed a hug from my sister.” she added softy.
chaser-isabellawood:
Bella knew she couldn’t avoid the pitch forever. Eventually she’d have to get back out there. She grabbed her broom and walked out, still hesitating to even pick it up. She was about to attempt to kick off when she heard a familiar voice. “Char?” The smile on her face was hard to hide as she dropped her broom and quickly rushed over to her sister. Her arms flung around her, and sighed happily. “I’ve missed you.”
Charlotte had let a small sigh of relief pass her lips as she had quickly stood to her feet, completely forgetting to mark the page she was reading. She couldn’t help but let a small laugh pass her lips as she put her arms around her sister tightly in a hug. “I’ve missed you to.” Charlotte said softly as she held onto Bella. She wasn’t going to admit the fact she had been struggling to keep herself together, she was here for Bella.
Charlotte had managed to get the okay from her boss to let her go back to Hogwarts. It only took the mention of her father's death that her boss cringed and just agreed to let her go, it almost made Charlotte cringe using her father's name to get out of work. However, Bella needed her and Charlotte said she would be there for her sister. She had sat down at the Qudditch pitch, one of the things that she was slowly becoming accustomed to, with a book in her lap (trying to keep up on her reading while she wasn’t at work) as she had heard a set of footsteps which broke her concentration. “Bella?” she asked curiously.

finmaddock:
Fin smiled weakly at the girl when she began calling him “Professor”. He hated the title. It always felt so wrong. He wasn’t a professor - he felt more like a glorified baby sitter. Teaching flying wasn’t anything spectacular or life changing. It wasn’t like Charms or Potions or Defense Against the Dark Arts - once people learned how to apparate, broomsticks were irrelevant. Fin knew it, hated it. “Ye can call me Fin,” he said, because at the end of the day that’s all he was. Fin. Just plain old Fin. “Yer welcome,” he started in a small voice, eyes dropping down. “I’m sure yer tired of hearing it, I just…” He paused a moment, swallowing against the thickness growing in his own throat before giving her a smile. “I knew him. Well. He was a great man, and… Yeah, I just it dinnae feel right to not come and say somethin go ye.” He sniffled a little, giving her a grin as he decided to change the topic of conversation. “How are ye liking here? Seems like a pretty fun job. What do they have ye doing here?”
It still felt weird that Charlotte now had the somewhat right to call people by there first names that had taught her at Hogwarts. However, she was now a young adult trying to navigate her way through the world outside of Hogwarts. “I’ll remember that, for next time.” Charlotte promised with a weak smile on her lips as she listened to him speak bout her father. Personally, her relationship with her father had always been strained because of her Eating Disorder. The constant arguments Oliver had with a very sick Charlotte, to the times the pair sat in therapy for the whole hour with no words exchanged. “No, no.. your fine.” Charlotte promised him, hearing the man apologize. Oliver was her father but he was also friends with a lot of Quidditch players, they had a right to grief as much as Charlotte did. “He is a great man and always will be a great man.” she said before a faint laugh had passed her lips. “At the moment, shufflin’ papers and making sure they go to the right place but we’ve gotta start somewhere.”
finmaddock:
Fin watched from the side, seeing what looked like the Chudley Cannons manager hang his head in dejection as he slowly exited the office. Whatever the bloke wanted, Fin was sure it was a ridiculous thing. But he wasn’t going to pry. He wasn’t there to talk quidditch or anything. This was more personal. Shifting awkwardly from foot to foot, he glanced over at the intern - one Charlotte Wood - with a slight frown on his face. Her father was a friend of sorts of his father, it only felt right to come and share his sympathies in person. Timidly, Fin moistened his lips before approaching the girl. “Hi,” he said softly, fingers dancing against the edge of her desk. “I uh… I just wanted to come by and say… Hello.” His cheeks turned red as he looked down, “And to offer my condolences for yer loss.”
Charlotte sat there for a second as her eyes had fell onto the flying professor. She had been avoiding the conversation about her fathers death since it had happened, she had been focused on her job and Bella. Charlotte Wood didn’t have time to mourn her fathers death. “Prof--” Charlotte began as she cut herself sort, realising that she wasn’t actually in school anymore. “Sorry force of habbit.” She quickly apologized as her expression had dropped slightly at the mention of her loss. “Um.. thank you.” Charlotte begun as she looked at the pile of papers on her desk.
fondest memory of bella?
“She was little, she had came into my room with a book and insisted that I read the book to her. So I took the book from her and opened it and it turned out that she had wrote her own book for me to add into the book collection I had, which was small at the time. So I sat there and read the book with her, and i’ve still got the book to this day. Then there is the memory of her flying her first broom with Dad, i’m not a flyer or anything but seeing the joy and laughter on her face; made me smile.”

How proud are you of the fact both new Heads are from Slytherin? Even if the Head Boy IS your ex boyfriend
“Of course I'm proud, Slytherin is my house and i’ll always be proud of anyone who comes from there doing brilliant things. Adalyn is brilliant and Scorpius, not gonna lie was slightly surprised he was even interested in the role but he’s also a brilliant person and has a great head on his shoulders. They’ve made a brilliant choice in people for the head roles.”
