Paige posted this movie trailer for Restless on Facebook and said it was "one of the most powerful and beautiful films" she had seen in a long time. The trailer looks great, so I want to remember to go see it! Looks like it's coming to Atlanta in October - find a theater near you here.
Latest lunches
Unfortunately, I don't have any photos to share, but here's two easy sandwiches I've been enjoying for lunch recently! Both use pita bread - the whole wheat pita pockets from Whole Foods are my favorite. I find that if you put it in the microwave for 10 seconds before trying to slice it open, that helps soften it. Ingredients for each version are listed below.
Variation one:
Boar's Head deli meat (turkey or chicken)
Roasted red pepper hummus
Arugula
Variation two:
Tzatziki sauce (recipe found here - I find that if I just keep the ingredients on hand, it's easy to just to throw it together when I need it and SO good)
Cucumbers, thinly sliced
Grape tomatoes, halved
Crumbled feta cheese
Arugula or spinach
What have you been enjoying for lunch? I'm always looking for new ideas!
Michelle shared this video with me, courtesy of tylerstanton.com. This sums up how I feel about Google+ right now - and have now doubt I'll migrate eventually.
Happy Friday from Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake! You're pretty much my heroes.
Glasses - Warby Parker
I've been needing new glasses for years and stumbled upon this website via Pinterest today. So glad my internet browsing has produced something useful for once! I've never heard of this company before today, but it seems too good to be true - great prescription frames for less than $100. And they will send you up to 5 pairs to try on at home - for free? And they support vision causes with every pair sold? Taking a page from Zappos and Tom's - LOVE it. Now I just need to decide which ones to try!

Local Three
I'm excited to try Local Three tonight. I feel like it's been awhile since Buckhead opened any new interesting restaurants and I've heard good things about this one. I will let you know how it is!
This looks like fun! I support drinking beer to support causes I love.
Summer To Dos
The busyness of the spring seems to winding down! I'm trying to take advantage of a calmer pace of life by spending more time doing things I love or have wanted to do for a while.
In celebration of the official first day of summer, here's a few items on my summer to do list:
1. Get up earlier.
2. Plant an herb garden.
3. Read more. A Million Miles in a Thousand Years and Cutting for Stone are next on my list.
4. Swim laps once a week.
5. Walk to farmer’s market in Piedmont Park. Buy seasonal produce and cook more.
6. Play more tennis.
7. Cheer on the Braves.
These are just a few things that have been on my mind. What’s on your summer to do list?

Restart
I know I've been neglecting the blog...this is my new commitment to get it going again! Going to go with shorter and hopefully more frequent posts. Here we go!
Jonathan and I visited friends and ran the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston last weekend - such a great time! I would highly recommend the 10K race if you ever get the chance - fun course that takes you over the beautiful bridge and through downtown with really awesome people watching. We ran together and finished in 57 minutes, 41 seconds - just under our goal of an hour! Afterward, we enjoyed a relaxing day on Sullivan's Island and then headed back to Mt. Pleasant. Sunday consisted of an amazing brunch at Husk before driving back to Atlanta. A quick but wonderful weekend!
I received my first issue of Atlanta Magazine in the mail today - very excited about the theme! With it being 80 degrees and sunny today, I am definitely ready for some good patio time. See one of my favorite someecards for details (in moderation, of course).
March 20, 2011 was a big day - Jonathan and I celebrated our one-year anniversary and I ran a half-marathon with our friends Sallie and Andrew. Jonathan surprised us by showing up to cheer in his wedding tux! Here's a video of him getting warmed up before we ran by...hilarious and amazing. Such a sweet, fun surprise and a great pick-me-up at miles 4 and 9!
(Big thanks to Michelle for taking the video and accompanying him!)
Thanks to Michelle for sharing the news about Piedmont Park's 35-acre expansion. I could not be more excited about this! I love the park and being so close to it has been one of my favorite things about living in Midtown. Walking and running paths, Park Tavern's skyline views, fields for soccer and bocce ball, the Green Market on Saturday mornings, festivals, concerts...what more could we want? We haven't had much use for the dog park yet, but hopefully we can enjoy that one day.
It has been so great to see Atlantans come out of the winter hibernation and enjoy the park again. Jonathan's pick-up soccer team held a "kick-off to daylight savings time" game there on Sunday - so thankful for longer days!
LOVE.
I had the privilege of being in Meg and Micheal's wedding this past weekend - what a joyful celebration! Check out a few photos from their photographer's blog - absolutely gorgeous. What a happy weekend with some of my favorite people in the world. Congrats to Meg and Michael!
