“True friendship isn’t about being inseparable, it’s being separated and nothing changes.”

((/ Balthier and Han Solo would be great pals and no one can convince me otherwise)
Here are some gifs of a few of the scenes featuring my two favorites that I’ve recorded during my current playthrough!
@only-to-be-free ((/ I worked on a little drabble (before my computer and I had a spat) for our muses that I’ll post if you’d like me to)
“T’is pleasant to see you too, Penelo.”
Balthier chuckled then, a sly grin on his face. “Well, now, what would make you say that? If it were to appear that the Queen is pleased by my presence, t’would simply be coincidence.”
He could tell Penelo knew something, or at least guessed something was up between him and Ashe, so he might as well hint at it a bit more. “Then again, t’would be odder still if my dearest leading lady was upset by my presence, would it not?”
✯ - The blonde gave her friend a teasing smile and smirked. “Well, I’m sure she’d never be upset to see you, Balthier. Unless Al-Cid or someone were to take her hand in marriage.”
But Penelo knew her Queen, knew Ashe. Even though her hand would be promised to another, her heart would lie elsewhere. “Unless of course, there was someway you could beat them to it.”Â
“The droll proposals she gets from that flirt seem to never end. T’is my luck, I suppose, that I at least do not have to fear her settling down with him any time soon.” Al-Cid upstaged him far too oft’ for his liking, so he found a bit of satisfaction in knowing Ashe would never chose Al-Cid as her co-ruler... right?
He gave Penelo a grin and winked. “T’would be a lie to say I haven’t considered finding a way to properly woo the leading lady, but I hope you can keep that to yourself.”
(// The mun might be a little drunk it's a Friday night after all but I have my computer back from the shop and my muse is itching to come out and be his charming self)
(// My computer tanked on Christmas. It's in the shop right now, but all I have to use tumblr on until then is my girlfriend's IPad, so I will only be reblogging things and sending asks)
You lust for the stone’s power, do you not?
Hey do you know what happened to our thread?
(// Sorry I think it must have gotten buried in my replies! I'll get right on replying to it when I finish studying for my exams.)
For @charming-skypirate!
So I ran. Free at last… All that running, and I got nowhere.
“Many memories from then are ones I remember fondly.” The smile of his face was one of fond thoughts, of coasts and woods, playful teases and campfires shared by their little party.
His memories were not without the occasional tragic one. T’would be unfair to forget the sacrifice of Reddas, of the many lives lost. He was not without a soul, after all. Yet those were things he preferred not to dwell on, lest he become too consumed by the thoughts. T’was for the best he push them all off.
✯ - “I wonder what everyone is doing now… I mean, well… I know what Ashe is usually up to. I see her from time-to-time.”Ashe was, with the exception of the random appearances of the others, the only one she saw regularly enough to know what she was up to. The others, she had only a general idea for what they were up to.Â
It was hard keeping in touch with them when letters couldn’t reach them. Perhaps if she made the effort to travel more, she might see them quite frequently. “But it is good to see you, Balthier. I assume you showing up like this has something to do with how happy Ashe has been?"Â

(//Someone motivate me to get my ass in gear and do something productive. I've been procrastinating everything all day, and I have a twelve page paper due on Friday...)
(// Just a note that my MUSE has entered a relationship with the muse over at @only-to-be-free. The mun is rather lovely as well...)
“Yet what do friends start as but strangers?” He posed the question with a teasing smile. “But yes, I understand the need for seeing familiar faces. T'would seem even I’ve been a bit nostalgic for our travels recently.”
✯ - “I suppose…” It was true though. Her very dear friends from the time of the war had been but strangers to her when they had first met and now look how they were now. These bonds surely would last forever.
“There were a lot of good memories from then, huh?” The dancer smiled when she began to recall all those happy and funny moments they had all spent together on their travels.
