Even the most basic necessities have become an unattainable luxury. Like thousands of other families, my family struggles to survive in this nightmare. We live among the rubble, carrying water from long distances because our infrastructure has been destroyed. Prices have skyrocketed, making food and medicine nearly impossible to afford.
Every day is a new battle, and every moment without food, medicine, or hope adds to our pain. We ask for nothing but the right to live, the right to safety, and the right to find someone who will stand with us in this darkness. My name is Wadad. I am fifteen years old, writing to you from Gaza while my heart is drowning in sorrow 💔. I write these words with shaking hands and tear-filled eyes, because pain has become stronger than my ability to stay silent. Every day I wake up feeling broken, and every night I fall asleep with fear and tears, wondering how much more my family can endure.
My family and I live in a torn, fragile tent ⛺ that cannot protect us from the cold nights, the burning heat, or the constant danger around us. We are seven family members surviving with almost nothing. My mother, Suheila, is sick and injured, suffering in silence and in desperate need of medicine. My father, Shadi, was wounded in the war, and since then our life has fallen apart.
The deepest wound in my heart is my little sister Mira. She is only two years old and suffers from a heart disease 💔. She needs medication, food, and special care, but we are helpless and unable to provide any of it. I watch her struggle every day, afraid that hunger and illness will take her from us.
