been listening to psychedelic souljam on repeat

#soul eater #maka albarn #soul eater evans #soul evans #; _ ; comfort characters from middle school that I have 2 draw every now and then #I wanted to try giving them some ~fashion redesigns~ just bc at this point I could draw maka's canon outfit in my sleep #so I'm spicing it up a little . soul has punk patches now.#at first I wanted to make this part of a series where I redesigned the main 7 / the main 3 meister&weapon teams #but I didn't want this drawing to collect dust in my drafts and i worried that I'd procrastinate the follow up pieces #so I'm posting this now !#tho i might decide to draw kid&thompsons or blackstar&tsu later bc I ///definitely/// have ideas for how I wanna redesign them #i have nothing against the canon character designs btw-- quite the opposite.#i love the bold aesthetics and striking simplicity of the original outfits #the original se characters are super iconic the way they are; this isn't an attempt to make their designs ''''''better''''''.#also I understand that illustration and animation are different mediums with different design objectives #i was just sort of like 'hmm would it look cool if Maka wore socks inside the combat boots?'#they look way older in this fanart than they are in the anime.... oops. i wasn't consciously trying to age them up #but I also didn't wanna put in the energy to age them down. so ig they're older teens here ??? i dunno man. i usually draw middle aged men #anyways ! hope you guys are doing ok. had 2 post my obligatory annual soul eater fanart #chase.draws #original post

#zutara #katara #zuko #avatar the last airbender #a:tla #atla #ok so this very obviously isnt a /real/ deleted scene. im just a fanartist who couldnt come up with a better title / caption.#yall would not believe the amount of hours this took.......#im not very good at drawing on-model 😔#the avatar art style is much harder than it looks.#(especially since im only one person and im not a team of pencilers + colorists + cel shaders + background painters)#but yeah !!! this is supposed to be set in the old masters episode. theyre in the white lotus camp.#zuko just talked to iroh and got forgiven and katara is like '!! congrats !!! i knew he'd forgive you!'#and she just sort of casually touches him bc katara has a tendency to show support/understanding/affection through physical touch #and zuko (touch starved bastard) is like holy shit holy shit holy shit #this is like the millionth scar touch ive drawn for these two but shhhhhhhh thats okay #the scar touch is actually smth that can be so personal....#its a physical manifestation of his insecurities and his desire to do the right thing but its also the most vulnerable part of him #and at the begining of the show he doesnt want people to touch his face bc he's ashamed of himself and unable to trust most people #so like..... hnghhhhhhhh scar touches are the ultimate act of intimacy #/thats me justifying why i always draw post-tsr zk in the same post 🥴/#anyways !!!! this took an insane amount of effort.
