as isaak made his presence on stage he slipped behind aeva &. snaked his arm around her neck, pushing her against his chest. his lips right at her ear ❝ не волнуйся, любовь моя, я тебя понял. просто смирись с этим.❞ he whispers and as isaak shoots, he narrows his eyes ( he’s never been one for killing woman &. children. they were simply off limits in his mind but he wasn’t pres &. rules were rules ) back to aeva. the man that has been her date saw his actions and went to lauch to protect aeva or to swing at him but milo’s actions were faster. milo placed the gun right on aeva’s temple ❝ i wouldn’t do that if i were you. if you make one single move, i will blow her pretty little brains all over you . ❞ each word that left his lips were false accusations , her would never hurt one single hair on her head but they were acting &. was it one hell of a performance. ❝ chase is it —- ❞ he made a brief pause &. his head tilted to the side . his arm lossens around her neck as he gets closer the balcony of the farm with aeva , his hand now wrapped around her neck , as he looks at chase ❝ you make any sudden movements to alert anyone &. i will throw her ass over this balcony. do you understand ? ❞

While Aeva knew that the Vipers were brewing something all along, what she did not expect was the magnitude of it. It was too easy to slip into her role as ‘panicked guest’ as the Vipers came to round up all the attendees and held them all in the reception venue. Before she knew it, however, an arm wrapped around her neck, yanking her back. For a split second, she thought she was in real trouble, perhaps even found out. But as soon as she caught a whiff of his familiar perfume aided by the utterance of a string of Russian in her ear, she knew she was in safe hands.
However, Isaak’s gun had gone off, and it promptly put a horrified expression on her features. While she took care of men and handled them for information purposes, she went no further than drugging them. Killing was a whole other ballgame, and the reaction was strewn on her face.
The killing in cold blood seemed to have cause a wild variety of reactions amongst everyone, and she knew her date would snap into his senses, seeing as Chase was a cop. “Chase!” she cried out, directing his attention only unto the helpless sight of her. And perhaps Milo had counted on this too, because quick as Chase attempted to interfere, the cold end of a gun was suddenly pressed against her temple.
“Chase–” Aeva sobbed, feigning grasping at Milo’s arm around her, putting on her best show as she locked eyes with him, hoping that her theatrics would dissuade him from further doing any sort of heroism. // @chasealexander
(POST PLOT DROP - MARCHAND WEDDING)
.
The wedding took a turn for the worst and the chaos that erupted stormed in completely, at least to him, unexpected. The helicopter that showed up unannounced was the first sign of trouble, but the well dressed people who exited made chills run down his spine. They all held a similar look, strong jaws and bright but deadly eyes. They were dressed to the nines and had a similar looks plastered on each of their faces, somewhere between smug and coy. Chase surveyed the crowd and it was obvious that he wasn’t the only one who tensed up at the new and uninvited guests. He couldn’t help himself for automatically reaching to where his gun would’ve been had he been more prepared, but who needed weapons at a happy family wedding?
Some man, who Chase assumed was the leader of the pack, got on stage and started to give a speech but he was more concerned with the people moving around the crowd and the second he saw someone reach for a gun, Chase leaped into action. He couldn’t be stupid because he wasn’t carrying, but he couldn’t sit there and do nothing. And even though he didn’t understand what was happening, the man figured that it was better to act now and ask questions later.
However, the opportunity didn’t come because his date was suddenly snatched by someone else and he had to watch the cold barrel of a gun press against the terrified woman’s temple. He moved forward as a shot went off and for a moment he expected Aeva to come toppling down, but it was further away and screams erupted all around. “Easy!” Chase lifted his palms up. He wasn’t above letting go of his pride in a situation like this one. In fact, he was trained to do just that because being the though guy rarely ended well. “Let go of her, no one else needs to get hurt here.” He tried to persuade the man. “I already called for backup.” He lied. But how did he know his name?
