to her it seems a little bit like he is trying a bit too hard or perhaps a bit nervous or perhaps that is just the way he is. charlotte cannot quite be sure of the reasoning but nonetheless, she is INTRIGUED by him a bit — she always has been by people who slip into pretentious suave attitudes for comedic effect; perhaps a distressing aftershock of being around too many over the top people who slip it on for the power it gives them. “ —-and what is it you want to be if not a model or a writer?” asks charlotte curiously, the journalist in her perking up at the chance to dig into a LIFE STORY. “ —or are, if you are lucky enough to be living that. ”
Chase smiled at the question, his expression containing a mix of contentment and excitement . There was few things Chase loved more than talking about his vision for what his purpose in the world was, and this question she posed invited him to do just that. "I'm already doing what I love and want to do. I want to create art that people can enjoy. Art that is accessible to everyone, regardless of social status. We live in a world where so much of art is commercialized, and only the people with money get to enjoy it; and that's not right." He explained with a shake of his head. "Art isn't a means to an end; it's a basic human need, like air and food and water are. I spend my days out in the streets, and in the parks, creating just for the sake of it. Because I love it, because my friends love it, and because I want people to be able to enjoy what I create freely. And sometimes, when a piece really moves someone, they'll feel inclined to make a donation, which is appreciated, but it's never mandatory. My art is free to world and that's the way I believe art is meant to be." After a brief pause, Chase chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Sorry. Didn't mean to get all preachy on you there. I'm just pretty passionate about what I do. I believe this is my true path."
