“You blink once and suddenly a couple weeks go by with little to no warning.” He had a habit of zoning in and out for long period of time. Looked like this was one of those times.

Yet somehow here he was browsing the isles of a store happily conversing with the creature that was tucked away into the hidden pocket within the sleeve of his robe. He needed to get their opinion on snack items too after all. So every now in then he would pick up an item and show it off to the inside of his sleeve. Couldn’t be too greedy after all—. To anyone passing by surely, it looked like he was conversing with himself or even living the life of a thief— but if they looked closer then they would be able to catch the nose of the rabbit poking out every now and then.
𝄢 ❝ EH ? ! Why do you turn up your nose in such a way towards everything I like ? ? I think you just have bad tastes. Look ! ! It has a drawing of chili and the word spicy on it so surely it must be good.❞ Wei Wuxian huffed out in a playful manner despite the protests coming from his fluffy companion. Though perhaps he should’ve been nicer to the rabbit as it decided to jump out his sleeve and take off running down the isles not caring whose path it crossed.

Mike needed to grab a few things from the store. It was supposed to be a quick visit - he had only planned to be in and out, just to grab a few things and make his way back home. Not like he really had anything to do, here, he didn’t have a job, nor did he really have any friends or anyone he could visit.
He should’ve known that his trip to the store wouldn’t be as quick and easy as he had hoped - as a small rabbit dashes it’s way down the aisle he’s in, running past his feet. He tries to ignore it, but the shouts of someone calling for it to come back catch his attention, and he stops what he’s doing to look over in their direction with a curious expression on his face.
“...Is that bunny yours?”
He asks, turning on his heel to get a better look at the man rushing down the aisle.

“Watch yourself, sir! Slower traffic to the right, please!” With no regard on if he charged into Mile or not, Emmet bolted past the man before their own apartment, until a wave of uncertainty struck. He really didn’t know if this was the right spot. So, after barreling and running over the man, he turned.
“I’m told this is the building my living arrangements are located. Is this the correct complex?”
unfortunately for Mike, he doesn’t realize he’s the one being told to move out of the way until it’s far too late. At the very least, he’s able to catch his balance, a small gasp leaving his lips as he stumbles forward, as he catches himself with his hand on the wall of the apartment building, and he looks towards the man who just so very nicely happened to r un him over.
... Well, at the very least - he doesn’t seem too annoyed at the encounter!
“...If you were told you live in the apartments, then yes.”
“What room are you supposed to be in? Maybe I can lead you there.”
sorry i haven’t been too active!! as soon as mike got accepted i got super busy with school and irl stuff, but ill be getting to the rest of my starters that i owe later!!
i’m not sure if i’ll participate in the event much with mike (mostly bc i can’t think of anything for mike other than........putting him in a horror movie and that feels really cliche) but i prommy those starters will be out later!!

Admitting that he needed help meant that Mike would need to go out of his way to reach out to someone for help. Appearing helpless was one of his least favorite things - he was always taught to never appear as so.
But this wasn’t home. Far from it - he didn’t even know what this place was!
And that’s what he needed help with.
He takes in a deep breath, taking a moment to seek out someone who looks like they may be able to help. Everyone was so fast, but the first person he spots that doesn’t appear to be in a hurry or need to be anywhere is who he approaches.
“…Excuse me.”
Mike approaches the first person he spots- looking a little more sheepish than intended.
“…I need help. If you have time.”

Something rustles underneath the shoulder of his trench-coat, and tiny racoon hands and snout reach out to take the banana passed from the boy’s hand, to Nrvnqsr’s hand, to it’s hands.
“I appreciate the banana. Thank you. Be on your way, child.”
Mike startles for a moment when tiny hands reach out from the man’s coat. He jumps back, but soon enough, Mike is back where he was standing, leaning forward a bit with pure curiosity in his eyes.
“...Is that a raccoon? Is that yours?”

“You cut the grapefruit in half, and with all of your strength, you squeeze it’s juice into someone else’s eyes. For you, it may be easier with a lemon or a lime. If you find the man that spoke to you about this, I am certain he would like it if you used him as a test subject.”
“I believe he’s been misled that the banana will help the burn in any way. I’m sure he will be fine without it.”
“...Oh.”
He looks down at the banana. Then back up towards the man. Then back down towards the banana.
“Is that all? Had me thinking that it’d be something more.”
He holds out the banana towards him. He has no use for it!
“...Do you want a banana?”
He got the banana.
... But for why.
“...what the fuck is grapefruiting...”

Cosmo rubs their eyes and yawns. They stayed up all night thinking of ideas for new inventions, only for none to occur. Running on two hours of sleep and one cup of hot chocolate (because they’re too young for coffee) Cosmo plops themself on a bench and sighs. “I shouldn’t have worked so much last night…”
Inventing and Engineering is fun, sure, but Cosmo accidentally overworked themself last night, so now they’re pretty tired. They would’ve taken a break, but Glitchmaster forced them to work hard, so they couldn’t. Cosmo’s eyes open and they jerk up after almost falling alseep on the bench.“Huh? Oh, I must’ve dozed off again” They still try to stay awake, but their eyes start feeling heavy. Their eyes close but then they hear footsteps.
There was something about this place that felt familiar to Mike - but he wasn’t the type to thoroughly think it through if he didn’t want to. Right now, he didn’t really care to, only chalking the things he’s seeing now as stereotypical city stuff. All cities really looked the same to him.
He didn’t know.
He didn’t care too much.
Lost in his thoughts, Mike starts to walk by the bench that Cosmo sits on. He isn’t going to pay them any mind, at least, he wasn’t, until he notices in the corner of his eye them nearly falling against the bench in exhaustion. Mike stops, turning to look over at the kid as he raises a brow.
“...You alright there, kid?”
here’s a starter call for mike!! going to be leaving this uncapped for the time being, but will probably cap it out later if it gets to be too much!!
