I’m posting these photos to tell a couple stories and hopefully they’ll make someone smile today. Greg Todd’s, GT, Geets and the list goes on is dearly missed today by many. A serious forward thinker and a gift to sNOwboarding. Always humble and welcoming….but crazy inspiring at the same time. Huge Energy on the mountain. Launching an air with no bindings bigger than most strapped in. Noboarding around Sunshine Village with Rob Stevens and my young daughter. He sat and shared that apple with her and was heckled by snowboarders on the lift who probably love bindingless riding today🤣. Watching Snowboarder Magazine SuperPark from the sidelines of a resort he built the foundations of snowboarding for (Lake Louise). His wild snowmobile. Soper, Peter Navin and Jerome Boulay attending the GT Memorial. $200 cheesecake!!! Mike Nyuis at the GT Memorial, gone too soon as well. If you attended any of the GT Memorial races you’d know the Psycho Love crazy scene and Stu Andrews. The race that turned into one of the best,never to be replicated again gathering that brought riders from all over the globe sanctioned by Nobody!! Craig Kelly. I always wanted his pro model Burton snowboard when I started snowboarding. Watched him closely in all the films and magazines. Never thought that I’d bump into him on a snowy night in Lake Louise and then end up showing him around the mountain. That lead to other chance encounters in Chile, South America. Then oddly enough lending him a book on “how to potty train” your toddler. Lots of memories and emotions in the month of January. Rightfully so for people that ride snowboards. Today also marks a pivot in history that will hopefully bring some positive balance back to the planet. Let it Ride.
