fransisco was working for the fbi in quantico up until two years when he was targeted by a serial killer who had surprisingly been the person who had killed his parents when he was just five years old. he was moved to a safe house in seattle until the unsub was apprehended. while this was happening, he grew fond of seattle and began to work at seattle grace mercy west recently as a security guard when a shooter entered the hospital and subsequently security was increased. the serial killer who had been targeting fransisco has been caught and is locked away and the fbi would like francisco to go back but he has completely left the force and has decided to stay in seattle with his much less dangerous job as security at the hospital. he will call every woman he comes across baby girl unashamedly.
CLOSED STARTER.
↪ for andrew deluca ( @blandrewdeluca )
“dr. deluca.” as head of ortho, it wasn’t common for wyatt to make it to rounds and rather check on his own patients later in the morning. he wasn’t sure what residents had been assigned to his patients, usually fifth years would take care of the head’s cases. apparently today wasn’t the case. “i see your name under my patients. i’m hoping you have someone to discuss them over or did they throw you out for the wolves?”
andrew was being run ragged and he took a moment to catch his breath before he heard his name being called . damn , he wasn’t going to be let off easily if he messed up with any of these patients and he could just tell that from the look on wyatt’s face . ‘ dr . sharma , all your patients are fine don’t worry , i have everything under control , there’s people out sick so i’m just trying to do what i can here to help out . ’
Heather enjoyed the company of others - whether they enjoyed her company however, was a completely different story. Her need to fill the silences that fell within conversation meant some found her annoying. “If I’ve learned anything, it’s never turn down a free drink.” she grinned, fingers tapping against the surface of the bar. “I got to stare into an open chest cavity for like eight hours today was awesome. What’s got up your butt to make you so down?”
andrew more or less stared heather down as she spoke , he wasn’t sat there just to chat , he was there to drink , talking was certainly not on his agenda . ‘ how about we don’t talk and i just buy you a drink ? ’ surely that wasn’t going to be the case but he could hope .
Ryleigh had a set of labs set in front of her from another nurse who didn’t feel like dealing with Deluca. It wasn’t her case let alone her day to be working with the doctors. She had her own patients to see today and she was focused on that. Picking up the labs with a sigh she walked over to Deluca handing them to him. “Deluca, I suggest you don’t piss off my nurses. These are your labs. I have my own patients to see today.”
andrew frowned as ryleigh approached him , he didn’t remember pissing anyone off , he knew better than to piss nurses off but clearly that hadn’t worked as ryleigh spoke . ‘ you know , i know better than to piss nurses off , why don’t you find out what i supposedly did and then maybe i’ll be able to make up for it ... but thanks , sorry to keep you away from your job . ’
Kenna would have been more than happy to take a few drinks in peace, just sitting at the bar after a long first day at the hospital but that was interrupted when someone took the seat right next to her and offered to buy her a drink. “First day, so those aren’t usually perfect,” she started, nodding her head and accepting his offer, turning to Joe and ordering another bourbon on the rocks. “Thanks. Now I feel obligated to ask why the day was weird?”
‘ first day ? nice . ’ andrew sipped his beer and shrugged a little . ‘ we don’t have to talk about work , i’m happy to not talk about it at all , we don’t even have to talk , i’ll just buy you a couple of drinks and that will be that , if that’s what you want ? ’ he genuinely didn’t mind if they sat in silence but he was somewhat curious about the pretty girl sat beside him .
“I really hope it’s you who has called for a psych consult because I’ll be honest I’m not sure I can be bothered walking up and down the ward asking who paged me for much longer.” Despite sounding a little bit annoyed Peggy was smiling slightly as she asked him.
andrew tensed up slightly as the obviously irritated woman spoke to him . he nodded with a small smile . ‘ yes , guy in bed two . they found him on a bridge and he fell and broke , luckily , only his legs , it definitely could’ve been a lot worse for him but he won’t tell us why he was on the bridge so we’re thinking he needs to be seen by you . ’ andrew had dealt with mental health before personally so it was a bit of a gut punch every time someone came in exhibiting any kind of mental health symptom .
Lexie cringed when DeLuca mentioned that he had lost not one, but two, patients. That never made for an easy day. Lexie placed her drink order when the bartender stopped by. “That would be a bad day in anyone’s book.” Beer for tonight. Beer because Josslyn was here now. Complicating things even further. “I hate when history shows up to repeat itself.”
‘ oh . ’ andrew spoke simply as lexie spoke . ‘ ex turn up that you don’t want to see ? ’ andrew could definitely see how that turn of events would affect someone’s day but maybe that’s not what is was at all . ‘ you wanna talk about it ? ’
“Ah well I’m not one to pass up the opportunity for a drink.” Lilith said with a small nod. She’d had a weird day herself but she wasn’t usually one to talk about it, especially not with someone she’d just met at a bar.
‘ well then , get whatever you want . i’m feeling somewhat reckless tonight so buying as many drinks as people want sounds like an idea that’s going to come into fruition , so stay close . ’ andrew was already feeling a buzz from the shots he had consumed and he wouldn’t want to feel any other way right now .
“you know, real gentleman are supposed to buy them all.” delta let herself let out a small laugh, turning her blue eyes to match his. “if you add a story, i won’t tell anybody.” if it had been a weird day, there had to be a story to along with it. no one became a doctor for all the boring stuff.
‘ who said i was a real gentleman ? ’ andrew settled his hand in another drink and called the bartender over so she could order a drink for herself too . ‘ just lost a couple of patients in what seemed like a matter of minutes apart , all that fun stuff . ’
carina rolled her eyes. taking criticism from a colleague had knocked her confidence for a day or two - but taking criticism from her brother was different. she really liked proving him wrong. “ah, i get it. you’re being sexist,” she said, a look of fake pity on her face. at this point she was really just teasing him. “that’s very sad. what would mamma think?” a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. “i’m not wasting time. i promise. maybe if people started reading the research…”
‘ i am definitely not being sexist , carina . ’ andrew’s arms came to rest at his chest in a defensive kind of stance . ‘ i just don’t want you to be overlooked when you could be proving how amazing you are by doing something else . ’
carina sighed and leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms over her chest. as if she hadn’t heard enough of this already. “many people are supporting this.” half the truth, many people weren’t on her side, too. “have a meeting with the board next week for more funds.” she was obviously proud, although it wasn’t quite a breakthrough yet. it was merely a step in the right direction. “if you’re sick of people asking you about medicine, andrea, then i hate to tell you where you are.” she smiled patronisingly and picked up what she had been working on as she got to her feet.
andrew groaned internally as carina started to do what carina did best , besides her job , talking . ‘ i’m not sick of people talking to me about medicine , i’m sick of hearing your name and orgasms in the same sentence , can’t you discover something that is a bit more ... i don’t know , normal ? why does it have to be orgasms ? ’ he stood with her and reached out a hand to stop her from leaving which came to rest on her shoulder . ‘ carina don’t leave , i am proud of you , there’s no denying that , i would just hate to see you waste all this time . ’
Ethan sipped at his drink, about ready to go home. The resident he had come with had left, and he just wanted to finish his drink and spend time with his girlfriend. The other man had turned to the fellow, and he about turned the free drink down. Why turn it down if he had the option of one more drink for no cost at all. “I’d say it was a tiring day, but I’ll take a free drink.”
andrew recognised the man from the hospital , specifically neuro but didn’t care all that much about who he was , he just ordered himself another drink and one for the man beside him . ‘ tiring is better than bad though , right ? ’
“even if i had a perfect day — which i didn’t, by the way – i wouldn’t turn that down, ever” meredith says, a drink already in hand. she had someone with zola for the next half hour, and she intended to take full advantage of this. “what happened today, you okay?”
‘ well some people might turn it down after a perfect day , someone stupid but someone nonetheless . ’ andrew ordered himself another drink and whatever meredith wanted . ‘ just lost a couple of patients , no biggie .’ it was in fact a big deal and that was clear from the way that andrew had come straight to the bar after his shift .
carina was sitting going through some of her notes on said study when he approached. preparing for a presentation to the board was more complicated than it sounded. she looked up, brows furrowed. “why don’t you change your name if it is bothering you?”
andrew rolled his eyes at his sister and shook his head . ‘ you just need to stop this . where do you think this is going to go ? who is supporting this ? ’ he didn’t want to be mean but this was really quite a risky adventure that she was embarking on . ‘ i’m sick of people asking me about this . ’
“Oh no, it was a bad day. I’ll take any free drink you are offering,” Lexie told the resident as she sat down next to him. Josslyn was in town, and Josh was single. The power couple Josslyn had always hoped for was likely to begin gracing the halls of Seattle Grace any moment if Josslyn got her way. “Weird? Please elaborate.”
‘ well two seemingly fine patients died in quick succession under my watch so that was really great and just unexpected hence the weird day . why has your day so been bad ? ’ andrew called over to the bartender to get him another beer and to get lexie whatever she wanted . ‘ if you’re staying i’ll get you a couple more , sounds like you need them . ’
𝐀ndrew had just shooed away what seemed to be the fiftieth person to ask him about his orgasm study , which funnily enough , wasn’t his . he approached his sister with his usual stance of arms folded across his chest and a bored scowl on his face . ‘ can you change your name ? i’m sick of being associated with your orgasm crap . ’
