2019 please be good
There was a time- and our parents lived it- when waiting for someone to text you back wasnāt a possible worry. And Instagram captions werenāt something people could waste time thinking about. And you had to pick a restaurant without seeing Yelp reviews and you had to get there without Uber and you had to pay your friends back without Venmo. And social media couldnāt break up relationships. And you had to ring the doorbell when you were outside someones house and if you liked someone you had to use your voice.
I think we worry too much about people leaving before they even go and we spend so much time waiting for it to happen that we forget to enjoy the time that we do have with them.
The closing lines of The Great Gatsby, perhaps the most enigmatic in American literature, handwritten by F. Scott Fitzgerald himself.
Iām really bad at texting unless Iām in love with you
Iāve never identified with something more than this
The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde

Me, being passed on the highway: bitch
āThatās it, I guess. Just go on living, whether you feel like it or not.ā
ā Anton Chekhov, The Seagull
āA soulmate is someone who is willing to grow with you, who chooses to be with you until the end, and will love you through good and bad. Itās not about sunshine and laughter, itās about mundane moments filled with unknowns.ā
ā T.B. LaBerge (via wordsnquotes)
