okay this is possibly bonkers advice but I’ve found that writing a cover letter is so easy if you just like. briefly inhabit the persona of a high elf who thinks they’re hot shit and cannot imagine why any of their previous work experience would be anything less than gobsmackingly impressive. “as you will see in my resume, I have extensive experience with…” “I am ideal for this position because…” “I’ve noticed this thing you do well and here’s how I will help do it even better…” just really go for it you know, just act like you’re already half hired

God I just started watching through the office for the first time and I had a dream last night that I worked in the office and Michael planned a work retreat to make a big quarterly finance meeting or w/e more fun and basically his plan was to do a river flotilla

Which in hillbilly country here basically just consists of everyone getting rafts or tubes for them and their coolers and getting day drunk while they float down the river.

And everyone agreed to it especially Jim and Pam and Dwight was like. Instead of floating he came in full scuba gear and throughout the downstream trip he’d just pop up in random spots from the dark water to terrorize people.

Anyway somehow he’d gotten Jan his boss to agree to meet us all at the end of the route like 10 miles downstream and have a meeting.

But Jim challenged Michael and said he could get downriver faster so Michael made me take an alternate route with him and we ended up like 15 miles off course just in the fucking woods and

I just remember at the end Jan like facetiming us to ask where we were and she was in a business suit by the river with a briefcase and all and Michael was like trying to cover and I was like I fucking KNEW he couldn’t read maps oh my God where are we
