It's the way if there wasn't SO MUCH gacha mechanics at the NC Mall right now I'd probably spend more money on it. Like the Maraquan Siren Body Paint? Gorgeous. The Background items from the Mynci day Capsule? I'd love some of them for my tropical themed pets! Moonlit Peonies Garland? So graceful!

But to get all of these items I'd probably need to spend like $100 in NC in order to HOPE I get the items I actually want and not a bunch of duplicates of other stuff. And I'm not doing that. So I sigh and move on, and don't buy anything

Goatlings Roundup 1/4

Okay, so now that the site is finally down, I'm finally gonna be sharing my goats for myself to commemorate them by. I was literally editing their treasure until like 30 minutes before the site closed lol so I was holding off until Goatlings finally bit the bullet.

Since I only played briefly, they're not really anything special but I'm still proud of them! Anyway, without further ado; my recently deceased kiddos:

Baphpan

My first Goatling

Named after Baphomet and Pan, I remember I wanted to name him after deities associated with goats... I don't think I did the best job of mashing their names but I was a teenager

Was a New Bee AD until last month lol, I decided I wanted to give him a more hardcore look to fit his name so I changed him to a Pluto AD

I decided to redo his whole treasure literally the last day of Goatlings to fit his new look which is why it's pretty tiny

I gave him the kunzite sword before I decided I wanted their equips to match their respective goats' aesthetics; a trend I started with the next couple of goats

I kinda see him coming across as tough but actually being a softie

I'm considering changing him to a butch

In a relationship with Grimmhilde, who still calls him her Honey Bee despite his makeover

Second Goatling after Baphpan

Named after the Evil Queen from Snow White, to match the apple theme of the AD

Fitting with her name, she appears sweet but she's kinda evil; in contrast to Baphpan who appears intimidating but is actually kindhearted

A witch, specializes in potions and enchanting apples... if she offers you one, don't eat it

One of my unfinished goals was that I wanted her to have a Pluto AD in her treasure and for Baphpan to have an Apple Cider AD to represent them being a couple. A Pluto AD was never in stock when I would check, though :(

Mahaut

I got him, Floralcore, and spiritSpeaker (Darklings Tab Goat) on the same day from the pound

Part of the "How I look with He/Him in my Bio" Duo with Floralcore

The Strawbunny BP was originally in Floralcore's treasure when I adopted him but I gave it to Mahaut instead; In-universe, Floralcore gave it to him as a gift

One of my unfinished goals was that I wanted to get another goat with a Ghost Flower AD applied and have them be tied with Floralcore in some way, I never decided how though

Andersen

Named after Hans Christian Andersen, author of The Snow Queen which I assume the AD is based off of?

Like Kai, the character the AD is likely based on, the cursed mirror causes them to focus on the negativity in the world, with the snow being one of the few things that brings them solace

Lives isolated on top of a snowy mountain because of this

Despite the curse, they still try to be kind and help travelers when they stop by their mountain

Helps take care of the local wildlife (represented by the BPs and butterfly in their treasure)

Korora

Named after the Māori name for the Little Penguin

I was waiting for the Seasonal Shop to switch to Winter so I could get her AD before the site closure hit. While I was waiting, I made her into a Thief AD because I wanted to see if it matched the Desert Night Goats (Another tab).

I haven't decided if I want to make the fact she was a thief canon to her lore or not lol

I was thinking of tying her to Andersen lore-wise but I never figured out how

She fishes for her penguins but she doesn't eat fish herself

I wanted to get the Penguin Pals BP and some more grey stuff in general for her treasure but couldn't in time :/

I don't even use this blog anymore but I have to get out what a wild experience it's been getting back into goatlings in the past 2 weeks.

Play goatlings briefly in 2017-> Meet all my goals, become bored with nothing else to do and forget about it-> Get an email that my account is going to be deleted for inactivity-> Decide to log back in just for funsies-> End up getting sucked back in-> Notices that Halloween stuff is still up in December and a bunch of mods are leaving? Well I'm just trying to give Windello the Windling a plush toy for his treasure-> Goes on a work trip for a week-> Comes back-> The site is gone.
