Haven’t posted any art here for a hot minute!

Here’s Pavail, my faerie Lenny mage! She lives in the western forest of Faerieland, a place where the magic of the faeries and the Haunted Woods seem to interact.

The plot has been going on for a couple months now so I finally feel like I can say this: it is not good.

Now, I feel bad saying so, because I certainly commend the effort. I want neopets to make plot comics again, but The Void Within is not the return to form we were promised. Modern TNT needs to learn from their mistakes if they want to recapture the magic of their older plots.

If I were to use a single word to describe TVW, it would be redundant. Plots used to have various steps (some time sensitive, some not) that would progress the story. We've literally been going through the same plot steps since June. They're practically dailies at this point. Void collection, hospital shifts, battling. Rinse and repeat. The plot comic itself is overstuffed with redundant dialogue and panels.

I am not kidding when I say that less would have been better. The story feels meandering because it's muddled by superfluous details. The story is so unfocused and, in my opinion, has failed to properly introduce it's central characters. It's mind boggling that TVW was not edited into a tighter script. As it stands, TNT is scattering it's resources, illustrating panels, even entire chapters, that add nothing to (and even detract from) the actual story.

The item prizes for reading the chapters are also completely unnecessary, like please focus your energy on making a satisfying story. Every single action the player takes does not need to be met by instant gratification.

Victorian mayor who has been cursed three times and is haunted by the Shining twins on a daily basis and also might be a bug
