Marichat May Day 15 - Friendship

Sorry it's a day late! I had to wake up early today for a conference, and I procrastinated too much last night oops. Anyway, this idea was again from @orcarriagesthatwork, thank you!

This is about Adrien mistaking his flirting tendencies with Mari to be signs of friendship. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it! I'll be working on today's prompt but it might be late, I'm not sure,,,

Back when i first got into this fandom I had a hogwarts AU where adrien was an unregistered black cat animagus, as his own way to rebel against his father and escape from his Public Image. 

As a cat he made best friends with marinette and hangs out with her all the time!! she has no idea he is actually the boy she has the hugest crush on.

I’ll reblog some of the old old comics after this, to give people a little context but heres my revival piece! I love this AU. @stirredbrew thanks for giving me a reason to revive this!

Now, I should probably explain what’s going on xD

This is an AU in which Adrien and Marinette are soulmates. They’ve known each other since they were toddlers and spent most of their time together.

When Adrien’s parents decide to divorce, he moves to the US with his mother. A couple of months later, Marinette’s and Adrien’s left eye change color. This is their soulmate mark.

After Emilie Agreste’s death, Adrien decides to go back to Paris, and pay a visit to his childhood friend.

I would have loved to include an accompanying fic, but my writing skills are rusty and English’s not my first language :P But I really, really hope you like it! :’3

this is important, because a lot of people dont realize that anxiety is heavily physical, and you can be feeling the physical impact before the mental pricessing starts!

its important to tune into your body and learb what your physical indicators are like when it comes to mood, because it can helps so so much with understanding and coping with it.

Kinda angsty(?) Soulmate AU idea

Okay what if, in this AU, you recognise your soulmate the first time you look into their eyes and it makes you have this big revelation moment (for example you have always been blind for the colour of their eyes until you look into them for the first time and that is when you become able to see the colour in general).

So in this au, Chat Noir and Ladybug see each other before Adrien and Marinette do, or at least they first lock eyes when transformed.

And Chat looks into those eyes and they are blue and it is the most beautiful colour he has ever seen and all of the sudden the entire sky starts glowing in the most intense shades of blue and the flowers on the balkonies around him are so much prettier. And he is just so overwhelmed and happy because he gets to be be a hero and save Paris with this amazing, incredibly smart and brave and sweet girl and she is his soulmate for christ's sake and wow this has got to be the best day of his life. And he just breathes: "Wow, I had no idea the world was so beautiful. Do you see this???" And Ladybug looks into his eyes again and she just goes:"See what?"

Because his eyes are altered by the transformation, it doesn't kick in for her. But Chat of course doesn't know that and his heart just shatters while he has to keep going like everything is fine as to not make things weird.

Afterwards, during the Umberella Secene Marinette looks into Adrien's eyes for the first time after avoiding this "mean new kid" all day, and those eyes are a colour she has never seen and all of the sudden she can see the colour of the trees along the street, and the grass around the school, glistening in the rain like exotic jewels and even though everything is supposed to be dull and grey the world just is so much more vibrant all of the sudden. And she just starts crying because this is so much more beautiful and magical than she imagined and this boy standing in the rain for is her soulmate and he is so sweet and it just is to much. And she looks into his face, but instead of seeing her own wonder and the astonishment of your whole world being altered in a second there is... Nothing. A genuine smile, yes, but no recognition. And when he starts his whole "this is new for me, but I'm nice I promise" speech she has to keep it all together because obviously he did not just have the same experience.

And they both think that something is wrong with them, because they found their soulmate but obviously it's not mutual. But they can't help but fall for them nonetheless. Imagine Chat's heartbreak when Ladybug tells him about how she looked into the eyes of this boy and her whole world changed. Imagine Adrien hiding the fact that he can suddenly see the colour of the sky because that would raise a lot of questions. Imagine Alya doing her best to help Marinette figure this out, but she too has to admit defeat, and that she has no idea how this could happen.

Imagine.
