Hi
English is a language so rich
You can use it to scream, lament, sigh and cry
But also to laugh and giggle, snigger, and cackle..
Smile while you utter all these words
Love the English Language from the absolutely marvelous to the down right absurd.
Hi everyone from Chatterbox worldwide to promote the English language particularly through poetry, theatre, storytelling and song
Hi everyone and a BIG WARM WELCOME to my first ENGLISH LANGUAGE BLOG aimed at spreading the ENGLISH LANGUAGE across the world.
I am proud to be MOTHER TONGUE ENGLISH and equally proud of the ENGLISH LANGUAGE, not least because I enjoy communicating with people across the globe
My quest as I suppose I do have one is to encourage those who want to use English to use it PROPERLY.Â
I don’t want to appear to be a BRITISH SNOB but I do have to admit I hate seeing words misspelt words, and phrases. These are now littered across the world on billboards, notices, in emails and frequently scrawled on Tee Shirts.
The English language is obviously not exclusively the property of the British of course, and there are of course differences in it’s usage across even the English speaking world, not least of course in it’s spelling.Â
Does it matter ?
I would be interested to know your opinions.Â
Equally please send me either on FACEBOOK, email or as comments on this blog, anything you see written ANYWHERE whether it is SILLY, STUPID or JUST WRONG!
Leaving aside the mistakes made in English I would like to enjoy using this beautiful language with you and share it with me in song, poetry and prose.Â
This week the shops in England are brimming with Valentine Cards and gifts encouraging lovers to declare their love for one another.Â
LOVE of course can mean very different things and we use it rather too liberally perhaps.Â
We use it to greet one another, we say we love our pets, our children, our family and our friends.
We declare our love for the food we eat, the music we listen to, and the places we visit.Â
And to finish not famous a love poem but words from some fabulous classic films that really sum up love.
