In Argenta's quest in act 2 a heretic is speaking in riddles and mocking her, refusing to tell about their god and the planet she is looking for.

Huh, I encountered an interesting twist in the first dialogue with Vladaym Tocara. I decided to replay a portion of acts 1 and 2 with my Crime Lord. It's the same character, more or less same stats, slightly different choices and conviction more leaning to Heretical.

First time when he talked to Tokara, he said, basically (I'm not playing in English so it's a translation, not a direct quote): I'll help Footfall, but it'll be a shitty deal for you. I'll rob you guys, but you (Vladaym) will stay in charge.

Vladaym said - yeah sure sounds reasonable for a person like you

This time Dismas said the same thing and Vladaym had the audacity to decline and say he wanted to negotiate better terms.

Interesting. I wonder what influences his answer, is there a hidden check or is it tied to the profit factor? I lost a point when I decided to give the lower deck rabble from Abelard's quest weapons.

Dismas sure loves to give poor people weapons and see what comes of it, my precious chaos goblin.

When I had 19 points of profit factor, Tocara refused, but agreed to my conditions when I had 23.

So it's either this or the fact that Dismas had Heinrix's Interrogation glasses the first time and Vladaym was like "I will not be bossed around by a man who wears sun glasses inside"

Letting Yrliet join you if you killed the Aeldari on Janus is so much more sad than when you let them stay.

Dismas, my RT, doesn't even hate Xenos, he can work with them when the need arises just fine - the fight started because both he and Muaran were rude assholes. It didn't mean anything to him, another fight out of many, but Yrliet lost the last thread that connected her to her people. She is completely alone with nowhere to go and her most viable option is to ask the mon-keigh who has just killed her kin (as shitty as they were to her) to take her with him because he at least seems to be willing to tolerate her presence.

When you let the Aeldari stay, there is some kind of illusory choice that she can stay with them, despite their disagreements.

Fandom often jokes that she is dumb for biting the hand that feeds her and falling for Marazhai's lies, but girl is in extreme survival mode 24/7. There are about 3 people out of 20k on the ship who are not terrible to her, all the rest either openly disrespect her or downright promise to murder her the moment the Rogue Trader looks the other way. She is holding remarkably fine, given the circumstances.
