Nodding her head when he told her that they looked good together, Avery smiled at the couple longingly. It made her rather envious of her best friend. Not because she had some sort of crush on Matt but because she wished she had a boyfriend and someone to share the kind of love Matt and Pixie had. “They make me want a boyfriend now,” Avery muttered shyly before looking up when she heard someone speak. Her stomach dropped as soon as he told her that that he was his turn to leave her. Nodding her head, Avery waved at him before finishing her drink and thanking the bartender before walking back to her seat and watching as Pixie’s family started to argue with one another. As she looked around the venue, Avery found her eyes landing on where Chaz and Matt were talking. At the sight of him, she couldn’t help but blush. She was half temped to go up to Pixie and ask her more about Chaz but she knew if she did, Pixie would try something between them so she thought it was better not to say anything.

Chaz reached Matt and fixing his shirt, he smiled at the groom. “What can I do for you, your highness?” he joked, wondering why Matt had called him over. “My bride,” he said, putting extra emphasis on the word on purpose. Chaz wasn’t sure if it was because Matt liked to say that now or because he wanted to emphasize that it was Pixie and not him. Maybe both. “She wanted me to tell you to ask out Avery.” Chaz’s eyebrows furrowed as he made some sort of confused, caught off guard face. “Well, that’s a little forward,” he muttered. Matt raised his arms in innocence. “I’m just the messenger. But what I wanted to ask was, I left my wallet in the backroom. Can you go get it for me?” Sighing, he waved his hand as if to dismiss the question, but nodded anyway as he made his way to grab his friend’s wallet. It didn’t take him long to locate it and bring it back. Matt thanked him and Chaz promptly went back to his seat where he saw that Avery was there too. Grinning, he sat down. “Hey. I’m back,” he told her as if she were waiting for him, which she probably wasn’t.

Feeling relieved when he looked at her happily as she greeted him, she took a sip of her drink and sighed. Raising a brow when he told her that he had no girlfriend, she couldn’t help but find that a little shocking. How could he not have a girlfriend. To her, he had to easily have been the hottest guy in the whole place so it was hard to believe he was completely single. She could see some of the ways the girls would look at him so she knew that other girls found him rather attractive. “What about me?” she asked in a teasing tone, already knowing he wanted to know if she was single. “The Bride is finally happy,” Avery joked and looked over at Pixie where she was sitting with her new husband and laughing with him. “They look good together don’t you think?”

The top of the bottle rested against his lips until he smiled and took a sip when she asked for him to clarify. “What about you as in what are you doing here alone,” he told her. It was obvious by the tone of her voice that she was teasing him, thinking he was asking about her love life, but he didn’t really need to ask considering the information she had given him before. Turning to look where Avery was looking at, he smiled and nodded at her question. “Yeah. They make a good looking pair. They’re good together,” he answered. He was on his way to stepping closer to her before he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning around, Chaz saw that it was one of the other groomsmen. “Hey, Chaz. Matt is looking for you. Don’t ask why ‘cause I don’t know.” With a sigh, Chaz nodded and faced Avery with a rather disappointed look. “Guess it’s my turn.” Putting aside his drink, he began his way towards where Matt was.

Going over to Pixie with a smile, she rolled her eyes when Pixie asked what she was grinning about and looked over to Chaz. “He’s single you know,” Pixie pointed out in that tone where Avery already knew where it was headed. She used the same tone she often used whenever Pixie would try to hook her up with someone. “Pixie, not right now,” she mumbled and helped Pixie with her veil, noticing it was a little crooked. “I’m just saying,” Avery’s redheaded friend said with a shrug and thanked her when she fixed her veil. “Was that all you needed from me?” she wondered, and Pixie waved her off. Looking around, Avery sighed and walked over to the bar, hoping to get herself a drink. Ordering her drink, she noticed Chaz at the side and walked over to him with her drink in hand. “Hey you. What are you doing here in the corner all by yourself. Your girlfriend not around?” she wondered even though she already knew the answer.

After he had ordered his drink, he started to take occasional sips from it while looking around the hall. There were a lot of people he didn’t know, as expected, and there were some he did. Some friends Chaz had made through Matt as well as some of their co-workers. Sipping from his alcoholic beverage that he had been waiting all day for, he noticed someone approaching him from the side. When he turned to get a better look, he couldn’t hold back the large smile that appeared on his face seeing Avery. “Hey,” he greeted her happily before chuckling at her question. “I am here by myself because I in fact have no girlfriend. And everyone I know here is mingling with other people,” he answered with another chuckle, stepping a little closer to the maid of honor. “So, here I am enjoying this drink on my own. And you? Done helping the bride?” he asked, glad that she was back so they could talk some more.

Smirking to herself when she noticed that he was checking her out, Avery couldn’t help but blush a little. She was doing the same thing after all. At least she knew that he found her rather attractive. “A good few years now actually. Probably six years. We met in college,” she explained and grinned at him. “I’ve met Matt a few times as well. More or less, whenever it was a double date with Pixie and Matt and whichever friend she decided to set me up with.” Avery couldn’t help but laugh a little, remembering when Matt asked Pixie to stop setting her up with friends otherwise he’d run out of them. As Avery was about to ask him something else, she heard her name being called. Looking up, she saw Pixie motioning for her. Giving him a small smile, she apologized and walked towards Pixie.

When he heard Avery mention Pixie setting her up with Matt’s friends, a few thoughts passed through Chaz’s mind. One, how did a girl like her remain single enough to need help from her best friend? Two, why wasn’t he one of Matt’s friends that was set up on a blind date with her? And three, Was she still single? These questions might be jumping the gun a little, but Avery was just really, really hot. In his humble opinion, she was probably the hottest one at the wedding (no offense to the bride). Before he could ask about these blind dates she went on, Avery was being called over by Pixie. Of course the bride would need her maid of honor. Smiling back at her, he softly that it was okay when she apologized before he blew out a big breath of disappointment when she left. Just because he knew the maid of honor would be with the bride a lot didn’t mean he wasn’t disappointed. Undoing the top button of his shirt, he saw that the bar was now open so he happily got up from his seat and went over to get himself a drink, hoping that he’d get another chance to talk to Avery.

Being Pixie’s maid of honour was huge for Avery and because of that she took on every responsibility that was asked of her. Pixie was one of her best friends and she didn’t want to disappoint her. It was her magical night and she knew that if Avery was ever to be married, she could count on Pixie as well. Once the wedding was done with and it was time for the reception, she went straight there to make sure that everything was setup before taking her own seat. Looking up when one of the groomsmen sat down, she couldn’t help but blush at how attractive he was.”Hi,” she greeted him back with a smile. She remembered seeing him during the ceremony but was never really introduced to him. “I’m Avery, the maid of honour. Pixie’s best friend.” Grinning at him, she nodded her head and looked up as the bride and groom were seated at their table. “How long have you known Matt?” Although Avery had met Matt on several occasion and met a few of his friends, some even Pixie tried to hook her up with, she had never met Chaz before and she wished she had. He was attractive and he made the suit he was wearing look good.

Taking a sip from the water that was in front of him (while waiting for the good stuff), he smiled at the woman beside him whose name he had learned was Avery. “A few years now. We work together and since like, my first day, we really hit it off,” he answered. Unable to keep himself from checking her out, Chaz had to mentally slap himself to stop, not wanting to seem like some creep who was only there to only hook up with bridesmaids. That was so not him. Clearing his throat, he looked off to the side for a moment. “How long have you known Pixie for?” he asked, eventually turning back to look at her. “I’ve only met her a few times myself, but she seems pretty cool.” There were times when Matt would invite Chaz out and Pixie would be there. He didn’t know her extremely well, but he knew her well enough to know that he liked her and that she and Matt made a great couple.

As beautiful as the wedding had been, Chaz was relieved that it was now time for the reception. He could relax, unbutton a few buttons of his suit, and best of all, he could have a drink or two. Happy for his friend Matt now that he was a married man, he congratulated the groom once again as they made their way to the wedding party’s table. He and Matt have been friends for a long while now and when the other guy had asked Chaz to be one of his groomsmen, Chaz hadn’t hesitated to accept. They were really good friends and he had been honored to have been asked. Reaching the table, he looked for his seat before heading over to where it was. He took of his suit jacket and placed it on the chair, making himself comfortable. It wasn’t until he sat down that he realized he was seated next to a bridesmaid he never met before. “Hi,” he greeted her in a friendly voice. He had never really seen her until now, only catching glimpses of her during the rehearsal and the wedding, but a part of him wished he had met her sooner considering how beautiful she was. “I’m Chaz. One of Matt’s groomsmen. Obviously.” He chuckled as he gestured to himself..

When the pilot announced on the intercom that they were son landing, Avery couldn’t help but feel rather sad. She enjoyed talking to Chaz and getting to know him. While he was distracted, Avery ripped a piece of paper from her purse and wrote down her name and number. Stuffing it in her pocket, she let out a sigh of relief when the plane safely landed. It wasn’t long until they were finally able to leave and both Chaz and Avery walked together towards the baggage claim. Smiling at Chaz when she got her bag from the conveyer belt, she exhaled sadly. “Well, this is me. It was nice meeting you,” she said, and wrapped her arms around him. Hugging him closely, she kissed him on the cheek without much thought. Slipping the piece of paper with her number in his coat pocket, Avery blushed a little. “Call me sometime,” Avery teased and winked at him before she grabbed her suitcase and made her way out of the airport, giving him one last look and hoping he would call her again.

First it was Avery who retrieved her bags and then it was Chaz not so long after her. Grabbing his bags, he set them beside himself and gave her a small (sort of sad) smile. “It was nice meeting you too. Thank you for all the help on the plane. You know, with my fear and all. Thanks for your patience. I got lucky sitting next to someone who’s patient with a first time flyer.” When she hugged him, Chaz was taken by surprise a little. It was a very nice hug, but still surprising. He was taken more by surprise by the kiss she planted on his cheek. Eyes widened, but he softly smiled to himself. He then felt something in his coat pocket. She told him to call her sometime and he knew what it was. She had given him her number. The way she winked at him made him blush a little and due to him being flustered, he hardly had a chance to say anything as she walked away. Taking the piece of paper out of his pocket, he looked at it with a wide smile. Immediately taking out his phone, he punched in her number and sent a text that read ‘Expect a call from me soon’.

Avery couldn’t help but blush a little when he talked about how easy it would be for them to meet up and do something together. She wasn’t expecting that from him but admittedly, she was rather happy about it. Chaz was an attractive guy and he seemed nice enough, there was no way she would turn down a chance to hangout with him and get to know him a little more. “I agree, something definitely wanted us to meet up,” she said with a smile. Just as she finished speaking the plane lurched a little and instantly, Chaz jumped in his seat. Seeing him looking out the window, she knew that if he continued to look out, he would get even more nervous. Leaning over to him a little, she reached for the window and closed the blinds. “It’s probably best not to look out,” she mumbled and gave him a comforting look, taking his hand and giving it a small squeeze. “It’s just a bit of turbulence, nothing to worry about at all.” Giving him a reassuring smile again, Avery then sighed. Hearing the pilot tell them that they were about to land, Avery let go of his hand and put her seatbelt on once the seatbelt sign came on.

His hands clutched the arm rests, the sudden turbulence scaring him more than he wanted to admit. Although, he didn’t have to admit it. The fear was etched all over him. Chaz was a little confused as to why she was reaching over to close the blinds of the window, but once she explained, he was thankful that he ended up being seated next to her. Not only was she patient with him and his fear of flying, but she actually tried to help him get through it. He was grateful. A voice above them instructed to put on their seatbelts due to a soon arrival. Chaz looked down at his lap and saw that he never even took his off. Sighing out of relief that he wouldn’t be on a plane anymore, he then grew a little disappointed that he’d also have to depart from speaking to Avery. Even if their hotel rooms were right across the street from each other, he was there for work and she had her own stuff to do. Who knew if they’d actually see each other again. They eventually landed and he let out the biggest breath, glad that he was finally back on the ground. They both exited the plane with Chaz behind Avery as they walked together to pick up their bags.

Frowning a little when he told her that he was only staying for a week, she couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. Even though she knew that there was really nothing that could happen between them, it made her sad knowing that there wasn’t even more of a chance because of the duration of his stay. It would definitely be spent working. There was no chance for a coincidental meet up. Blushing at the way he smiled at her, Avery found herself enjoying the smile he directed at her. It was the kind of smile that made her heart skip a beat and made her want it more and more. Raising a brow when he showed her the piece of paper, she couldn’t help but let out a wide grin. “Your hotel is only down the street from mine!” she exclaimed, unable to keep her excitement at bay. “That’s such an odd coincidence. We’re both from San Diego and we basically have hotels near each other.” Avery couldn’t help but giggle at the thought.

The wide grin on Avery’s face when Chaz showed her the place he was staying at confused the guy a little. However, when she revealed that their hotels were right across the street from one another, he chuckled at how amusing the coincidence was. He glanced down at the map, checking to see what was across from the hotel building he was staying at. “That is quite a huge coincidence,” he said with a smile, looking back up at her. “But it might be the universe doing me a huge favor. It’ll be easier for us to meet up and do something when we both are available. And if I ever need help with something, you’ll be just across the street.” He chuckled as he took his map and folded back up, putting it back into his backpack so he wouldn’t lose it. “I don’t believe in faith much,” Chaz began, getting once again comfortable in his seat. “But I’m pretty sure something wanted us to meet.” He looked over at Avery softly before there was a bit of movement with the plane. It shocked Chaz, making him jump in his seat, eyes wide as he quickly stared over to the window.

Blushing when he told her that he would make sure to go to her favourite place just because it was her favourite, she had to look away so he wouldn’t see how red her cheeks got. Her eyes widened though when he mentioned only being in Paris for a week. “Really? Just a week?” she asked a little disappointed. Avery couldn’t understand why she was disappointed. Maybe because she wanted something to happen between them or that she wanted a friend in Paris. “That’s so short.” Biting on her bottom lip, she looked down at her lap for a moment. “I’m there for three weeks. And yeah I am meeting some people but it’s only for a couple of days since they’re going to be backpacking and I sort of wanted to stay in Paris for most of my stay.” Shrugging her shoulder, she turned to him. “Where are you staying?” she wondered. “Not that I’m going to stalk you or anything. Just curious.”

“Just a week,” he confirmed with a nod of his head. “Like I said, it’s a business trip, so I’m not here for long.” Of course Chaz was sad over the fact that he was only to spend a week in Paris and most of it would be spent on doing business related things, but just to say that he’ll be in Paris for a week was pretty damn cool. Chaz had never really traveled much, so it excited him that he was on his way to Paris. It was something he never thought he’d be able to do. “Three weeks? I’m so jealous. I wish I could stay there for that long. Well, I hope you enjoy your stay. Have fun for the both of us,” he told her, smiling softly in her direction. When she asked where he would be staying, he pursed his lips before grabbing his backpack from under the seat and taking out a paper. “Here,” he said while pointing to the name of the hotel. “I don’t know how to pronounce it right. It’s too French for me. But that’s where they have me.”

Smiling at him when he told her that he appreciated what he was doing, she nudged him a little and winked. “You’re very welcome,” smiling at him, Avery then continued to circle some more places. Double circling one place, she then turned to him. “This is my favourite place,” she announced. “Hugo has one of the most amazing desserts in the world.” Gushing about the restaurant, she smiled at him. “I hope you get to go to some of these places that I’ve marked and that you love them as much as I do.” Looking at the map one more time, she the handed it to him. “How long are you in Paris?” Avery asked and gave Chaz a friendly smile. “My roommate was supposed to join me but she ended up getting sick so it’s just gonna be me,” she revealed and sighed a little sadly. It was supposed to be her and her best friend going around Paris and her best friend had been saving up for it, sadly the day before they were supposed to leave, she ended up getting the flu.

How she winked at him made him shyly smile and nervously chuckle, his head ducking down for a moment. Chaz cleared his throat so she wouldn’t notice the effect she just had on him. It was kind of embarrassing, really. He looked back up when Avery went back to circling things on the map. When she double circled a specific place, he craned his neck to get a better look at what it was and he wondered why she did that. Glancing at her as she explained, he smiled softly. “I’ll make sure to make that my first stop since it’s your favorite.” Taking the map from her, he looked it over and examined it, making him excited and hopeful to get to explore Paris a little. He knew he was there for work, but he wanted some time to have fun in a place he’d probably never go again. “I’m there for a week. It’s not long so I’m hoping I have at least a day to get to check some of these places out. How long are you staying?” he asked, taking his eyes away from the map. “I’m sorry your roommate got sick, but you did say you were meeting people, right?”

Seeing the way he looked when she talked about where to go, Avery tried to think of where else he could go. “Yeah, they’re really friendly people. Their kitchen is really nice. They taught quite a bit,” Avery explained and smiled at Chaz. “I went to school just outside of Paris,” she revealed hesitantly, knowing that the last time she revealed she was rather privileged he stopped talking to her. Spent most of my grade school two hours away from Paris and I would spend my weekends in Paris.” Picking up her purse, she then started to look for her map. Once she found it, Avery laid it out on the small table and looked for her pen. Laying out the map, she then started to draw on the map and circled some of the places she liked going. “These are some places I enjoy going and there are some hole in the walls you might love.”

His head nodded along slowly while she spook, eyebrows raising a little when she revealed how she went to school just outside of Paris. Of course, after the earlier revelation of her being rich, Chaz wasn’t all that surprised by this. It was more of a ‘of course she went to school near Paris’ sort of thing for him. He tried not to say anything about it or let it be known on his face that that’s what he was thinking. Wordlessly, watching her taking out some map, he looked at her curiously as he wondered what it was she was doing. When Avery began to circle some things on that map, it dawned on him that she was marking places in Paris. Chaz smiled to himself, finding it very nice of her to help out some guy she just met. “Thank you. I-I, uh, appreciate this. I’m sure you’re doing it just to be nice, but I really appreciate it. I’ll be less lost now.”

Avery could tell that even though she was talking to him, he was still such a nervous flyer and that every little movement the plane made would make him jump. She found it rather funny but made sure he didn’t think she was making fun of him. The last thing Avery wanted was to make him feel bad for something he had no control over. “Well, if you ever do get free time, there’s this cafe overlooking the Eiffel tower and they sell the best baguettes I have ever tasted and they are to die for and if you’re ever interested in trying out some French cuisines, there’s this restaurant just outside of Paris that you should totally check out. It’s family owned and their food is just something else. Your mouth will feel like it died and went to heaven. They’re super nice too and sometimes they hold cooking classes,” Avery said, talking about her experience at the restaurant.

While the woman beside him suggested places for him to visit, he nodded along as he listened intently. It made him forget that he was currently on a plane. He just had to make sure he remember these places once he was in Paris. By the way she described them, they sounded like places he’d definitely love. And admittedly, listening to her speak made him a little hungry. “Wow. They sound really great. I’ll keep them in mind. I’m very interested in trying them out.” Taking out his phone, he opened the notes app and typed everything (or as much as he remembered) she said so that he could try to look them up if he had any free time. “Cooking classes, huh? If I had the time, I would love to get to do that.” Putting his phone away in his bag once he was done, he looked back towards Avery. “How often do you come to Paris? You seem very familiar with it.”

Things started to get weird between the two of them. All of a sudden, Chaz was more closed off and he didn’t seem all too keen on flirting with her anymore and it made her wonder why that was. Had she said something wrong that made him turned off by her? Regardless of it, Avery wanted to remain friendly considering she was going to spend the next five hours sitting beside him and Avery traveled enough to know the person sitting beside you can make your life a living hell. “Yeah… just a little bit,” she said in a small voice and returned the small smile. At this point, Avery wanted to close herself off and retreat into the corner. She really thought she could flirt with him, maybe get to know him some more and possibly have something happen between the two of them. It wasn’t impossible. They were going to the same country and they lived in the same city. “Are you going to have any free time in Paris or is it just strictly business?” she wondered, hoping to steer the conversation in another direction.

When he felt the plane going up and down a little, it reminded Chaz that he was indeed flying really, really high. He needed to take a moment to breathe in and breathe out slowly. Once the plane steadied again, he calmed down and turned his face to look at Avery. There were quite a few hours to go riding this plane and Chaz had a feeling that he would never get used to it. Who knew if he would ever get used to riding on a plane. He just hoped that it wouldn’t start to bother the woman sitting beside him. The last thing he wanted was to start annoying her. Thankfully, she began to ask him more questions, which he was thankful for since it distracted him from the flying. “Actually I’m not sure. I’m hoping I do have some time because I’ve never even traveled outside of California before. So, to be able to visit Paris is kind of awesome, but it would suck if I couldn’t even explore it,” he answered, looking down with pursed lips. He didn’t ask his boss before agreeing whether he’d have some time to explore Paris.

Avery got the impression that she had done something to annoy him because as soon as she revealed that she knew the chef, his whole demeanour changed. Looking down at her lap a little sadly, she just nodded her head when he said that he didn’t know the chef personally and commented it was creepy if he brought a present for another man’s daughter. Avery just wanted to make conversation and she thought she was being helpful. “Yeah it would be kind of creepy,” she answered dejectedly and sighed before pulling out a few things from her bag. “Well, I wish you all the luck and I hope that you stand out and get his attention,” she said with a smile on her face. “I’m just yeah…”

Chaz didn't want to bother flirting with the girl when he had absolutely no chance of being with her. It would have been harmless flirting before he knew that they lived in the same city. Before when he thought they were from different places, he had fun with the flirting already knowing nothing would come of it. Now it was just embarrassing. It was embarrassing flirting with a  rich girl that goes to Paris for fun and knows a famous chef on a personal level while he lived in a small apartment with roommates back in San Diego trying to make ends meet. He should just focus on the work he was going to have to do once he landed. At least, that's what he kept telling himself as he ocassionaly stole glances towards Avery. "Thanks for the advice, but it's probably best if I don't do that. Don't want to come off weird and stalker-ish. But I do appreciate the help," he reassured her with a small smile.

Noticing that he was much calmer now, Avery kept her hands on top of his, just in case there was more turbulence. The way he reacted when she revealed that she lived in San Diego, it seemed like he too was from there. “I take it you live there too huh?” she asked, grinning at him. What were the odds that she would end up sitting beside such an attractive man who not only was going to Paris, but was also living in San Diego. Admittedly, it made Avery rather hopeful towards him. “Do know him. My parents used to eat in his restaurant whenever they went to Paris. I was actually going to see him when I head to Paris. He invited me to dinner with his family,” Avery admitted sheepishly and gave him a small smile. “If you know him personally or he hand picked you, he has a little girl so you should get her something,” she suggested and winked at him. “He loves that little girl a lot so he loves spoiling her. Doesn’t hurt to get her a little present.”

"Born and raised in San Diego," he answered, making sure he didn't focus on the fact that he was currently on a plane. When she began to talk about the chef he was going to go meet, he found it odd how she talked about him on a personal level. Clearing his throat, he took his hand back and sat up straighter. She sounded like one of those rich people. If she knew the chef personally, then she was definitely rich. Nothing was definitely going to happen here and he should just focus on getting to Paris. "I don't know him personally," he told her, facing forward and leaning his head back in a comfortable position. "He doesn't even know I exist. I'm just part of a small group representing the restaurant I work at." Nodding his head, his breath hitched a little and his eyes shut when he felt the plane jerk a bit. "So I think it'll be weird if some strange man brought his daughter something. Would be odd and creepy."

Considering Avery had been traveling since she was a little girl, a little turbulence was nothing for her, but for the man, it was enough to get him so shaken and admittedly, she found it rather funny. Not catching the small smile he had had on when she told him that she had no boyfriend, Avery just placed her hand over his when he panicked a little over the turbulence. She couldn’t help but admire how much he loved being a chef and wished she found something she loved. “California huh? What a coincidence because I just moved to San Diego a month a go. I’m originally from New York,” she revealed and grinned at him. “Avery and it’s nice to meet you Chaz.” Raising a brow at the chef he happened to be talking about, Avery thought of all the famous chefs. “Are you… are you talking about Jean-Georges Vongerichten?” she asked, cocking her head to the side a little.

It caught Chaz off guard when she willingly placed her hand over his when he was panicking over the plane. He really hadn't expected her to do that, especially after his embarrassment over accidentally grabbing her hand. Still, despite the surprise of the action, he oddly found it comforting for this stranger to try to help him with his fear in this sort of subtle way. It honestly relaxed him some more. When she mentioned the fact that she had just moved to San Diego not that long ago, he looked up at her in disbelief. "No way. You have to be joking. You really live in San Diego? What are the odds?" Chaz chuckled a little. Looking to the side thinking about the fact that this beautiful (single) girl beside him lived in the same city as him, he couldn't help but think about what that could lead to. He was snapped out of his thoughts when she mentioned Jean-Georges Vongerichten, he turned to her and nodded his head. "You know him? Have you tried his food? It's absolutely fantastic. I wish I could cook half as good as him. He's just an amazing cook and I'm just excited to get to learn a bit from him." Realizing how dorky he probably sounded as he rambled about some chef dude, he cleared his throat and glanced away.
