A Major design change;

I am thinking of doing a major design change to the "Rose Close" Lot. I'm thinking of bulldozing the whole lot and starting back at square one and using the building techniques I've learnt on this project. This will be done to improve the utilisation of the lot and make it so it more suites the Sims who live there. I may even move lots and families around Newcrest so that the world is better utilised.

Meet Andy and Jane Tanner.

Andy and Jane are married and  together own number 2 Rose Close.

 Andy Married Jane after divorcing his first wife, he has two young sons from his first marriage. He is an ambitious sim, and works as a company director at an estate agent. He is charismatic, charming and cares a lot about his outward appearance in order to please his clients. this is seen this  with is bleached blond hair and fake tanned skin.  He is in deep love with his wife Jane, whom he regards as his true love. Andy enjoys golf at the weekends and trips down the pub with his bros.  Andy also likes to take long walks with his beloved golden retriever Max. 

Jane is Andy’s fabulous, house proud and materialistic wife. She works in PR/social media for the Newcrest town council, mainly dealing with people messaging the local council about bin collection. She has two children. She gave birth to her eldest, Jenny,  with a boyfriend she had in her early 20s. Jenny lives away from home in the big city were she is working as an intern in a major company and gets drunk with “her girlies” every Friday. She had her son Jamie with her ex-husband Gary. He is a teenager and lives at home with her and Andy. He is quieter than his sister but still has a few close friends.

Meet Jamie Goods.
He is the teenage son of Jane and her ex-husband Gary Goods, he lives at number 2 Rose Close with his mother and stepfather. He is both a Geek and a Genius. He is therefore the top of his class and is predicted solid A’s in his A level exams.AS he is a geek he loves a good film, TV show and comic book. In his bedroom are several large framed posters of his favourite films. He is an avid gamer, frequently visiting gaming conventions. Also on his wall are a collection of signed games posters which he brought at these events.
Jamie has recently come out to his mum and stepdad as Gay. Although nervous about it, both of them are very supportive of him, perhaps a little too supportive. They both showed up at the recent pride parade in full rainbow coloured outfits. 
Jamie’s has two close l friends, who he has known since primary school they are:
- Penelope Parker, a geeky bookworm who spends her free time reading and writing fan fiction. 
- Chris Watson, a geeky loner who spends his time gaming and watching anime. He is often dragged places by Penelope and Jamie. 
Jamie also has also begun a flirtatious friendship with the “boy round the corner”, Luke Hewwit, a goofball who spends his time writing and listening to rock music. Where will this special friendship lead?

Janet House - Number 3 Rose Close, The downstairs.

The images above show the main rooms of the downstairs of Janet Clements house at number 3 Rose Close, she has lived here alongside her husband since they married. From the first picture to the last we can see:

Meet Janet Clements, she is 78 and unfortunately recently widowed. She was married to her late husband, Trevor, for 45 years. Trevor sadly died from complications relating to a a long term illness from which he suffered.  

Since her husbands death, Janet has developed new hobbies to keep herself busy, she has even converted one of her spare bedrooms into a hobby room. She has become increasingly green fingered and enjoys her gardening. Other hobbies she enjoys includes her love of baking, knitting, and painting. 

Janet has recently adopted a black and white cat and named him Tux, Tux is Janet's’ whole world and she has spent many many simoleons on him

A brief sims update

Ive spent the last few days rearranging some things in the save. I demolished a lot in Llama lagoon that i really wasn’t feeling and built a lovely modern renovation in its place. In addition i also filled the final empty lot in this area of Newcrest. Meaning that Llama lagoon is fully populated! 

The first of the inhabited Lots here is Rose Close, the lot in the very bottom left of the Newcrest map. This lot consists of 3 1960s English dwellings, inhabited by 3 families:

The Clements  - number 3 Rose Close.

- Janet Clements - a recently widowed 78 year old who lives alone with her black and white cat Tux. She is a keen gardener and hobbyist, she has converted her spare bedroom into a dedicated hobby room for herself.

- Tux, Janets black and white cat.

The Tanners - number 2 Rose Close.

- Andy Tanner, a bleached blond and fake tanned Estate agent, with high flying ambitions for his business.

- Jane Tanner, Andy’s wife, a fabulous middle aged fashionista and house proud fun mum.

- Jamie Goods, Janes son from a previous marriage, who has recently come out as gay, he is a geek who loves gaming.

- Max, Andy’s lovable golden retriever.

The Tashmans - Number 1 Rose close

- Nicole Tashman - a young single mum who goes to university by day and works in a supermarket by night.

- Kory Tashman - Nicoles inquisitive and cheerful son.

My Sims 4 British town, The progress so far

LLAMA LAGOON - bottom left of the map

The nearly completed llama lagoon neighbourhood is the area dedicated to the 1960s/70s housing development. As this era of construction is knows for its relative high density when compared to others, so i have built multiple houses on one lot. also in this area is the Pub “The Dog and Duck”. 

RIDGELINE DRIVE

Ridgeline Drive, which is about halfway done consists of a variety of older style homes. These homes include several cottages and farm houses and a pair of semi detached houses, not yet built are the single storey bungalows that i plan to construct.

BRIDGE VIEW

Bridge view will be Newcrests town centre, currently the only building ive completed is “Newcrest Leisure Centre” the local council run gym and swimming pool.

Building British Suburbia in the Sims 4

I have been watching a lot of DevonBumpkin on YouTube as of late, watching his building newcrest series. This has inspired me to build a British suburb of my own. Complete with a 60s housing development containing a mix of detached semi detached and terraced homes. a more middle class area full of character homes and cottages. i have also started work on a British high street filled with a variety of public places. In addition to this i am slowly filling the world with a variety of different and characterful sims.
