Yeah, I've always found MC's reaction so disproportionate and clearly written with only her romancers in mind. And it was such an early quest, too, which means that she was confiding in MC about this when they hadn't even known each other long, so as a friend, how much sooner could she have even brought it up? That's her personal business as far as I'm concerned and non-romancing players should not even have gotten the option to be upset with her.

It’s so strange because in general I think they do a decent job of leaving the writing ambiguous, if skewing a little flirty at times even with the romance toggle off, but this is such a clearly romantic conversation that I was totally taken aback the first time lmao
