The soft smile that he kept a while ago immediately changed onto a flat line. “Re, really? You didn’t have mine?” Joowon took a long pause, didn’t expect for such twist to happen. He stood still, getting busy with his own as he began to wonder if he should have looked for it around the bench before coming to her. Joowon let out a heavy sigh, didn’t know what to do. “You sure you don’t have mine? This is bad, then…” he murmured the last couple words, as if talking to himself.
bringing the bag closer, maddie searched for the device. “i really don’t see it.” when she looked up at him, she could see the worry in his eyes and a wave of guilt overcame her. “i-- it’s MY fault. i should look for it. i probably misplaced it while i was looking for books, the same way i misplaced my real phone-- thanks for returning it, by the way.” although she would’ve preferred to finish her business, she knew that the right thing to do was help the male.

there was a wave of guilt overcoming the girl. he sounded frustrated-- not like it was his fault. heaving a sigh, maddie reluctantly stood up from her place, placing a hand on his shoulder. “unfortunately, no. maybe you should let me choose your outfits for you.”

Joowon grew cautious from the corner of his eyes, getting surprised by her loud voice. The whispers behind his back was noticeable, and it would be a lie if he didn’t feel any guilt from being such a nuisance in the room. “I’m really sorry for bothering you, but,” his voice softened, groping an item inside his pocket. Joowon held out a cellphone and gave it to her. “I’ve walked around here for 15 minutes and asked around. I found your phone on the bench earlier. I’m afraid you’ve mistaken mine as yours.”
“WHAT?” the look on her face was enough to show that she was probably not paying attention when she grabbed the phone, having been so focused on gathering books and making sure she got a seat in the full room. her eyes scanned her table-- oh, right. it’s in my bag. she dug her hand into her bag, feeling for the gadget. nothing. “um... this is really embarrassing but, uh, i don’t think i have your phone.”

“i don’t know what you want from me but if you haven’t noticed, we’re in a library and i’m trying to study and this book is hella confusing as it is so if you’re not gonna leave--” her voice was growing louder, and maddie noticed the unimpressed looks she was getting from both the staff and other students. with a sigh, the girl scratched her head. “what do you want?”

“you look awfully dressed.” tired eyes scanned the other’s body. it was late, and maddie was practically half asleep when the other had come out dressed to go somewhere. “i hope you’re not making ME go with you.”

muse a tries to stand up for muse b in a bar but unfortunately cannot fight for shit.
muse a is having plumbing troubles in their new house and muse b says they can fix it: except they can’t, they just wanted to spend more time with the cute neighbor. (bonus if muse a has to spend the night at muse b’s place because of it)
muse a works somewhere that’s open late and muse b comes in to take shelter from the storm.
muse a is assigned to be muse b’s partner in an undercover assignment.
muse a needs money and signs up to be in muse b’s clinical trials. (bonus if some kind of accident gives muse a superpowers and unwittingly makes muse b their accomplice in their goals)
muse b is a siren and muse a is one of the few people immune to their song, so after drowning the rest of the crew the two are stuck together.
muse b accidentally creates muse a, the world’s very first AI. (Can work with or without a body for muse a, or muse b can struggle to build a body for muse a)
muse a and muse b as Olympic athletes forced to do PR together, photo shoots, interviews, cheese montages.
muse b is an anent for a time travel protection agency and has been assigned to protect muse a after they have been targeted by another time traveler.
muse b is in love with muse a, but muse doesn’t love them back. At some point the two have a one night stand and makes matters more complex (via rachel).
&. plots and things !!
so this is my way of using my own confusion as maddie’s mun and turning it into something productive!! this is a call for anyone who’s willing to do these plots with maddie:
maddie has run out of material for her channel, and quite honestly, she wants to shut it down. she’s thought about it and she doesn’t wanna just end things because she doesn’t feel like it anymore. her channel was always light and pretty, her videos being mostly travelogs. but she’s really just so busy as a student now and she doesn’t have time for youtube. this is where YOUR muse comes in! they can be a fan, a friend, a schoolmate, a whatever that genuinely does not think she should take her channel down. they push her to no end, even if it’ll annoy her, and encourage her until finally, she’s reminded of how much she’s enjoyed being part of the youtube community. but she doesn’t wanna go at it alone thus inviting your muse to be her new partner on the channel.
being a bs psychology major has given maddie so many opportunities to think about, and she’s stuck in between them all. on one side, she could opt to take masters after university. she could also decide not to and just continue on with her youtube career. she could also open up a cat cafe. and she could also go for med school, which is honestly what she’s really thinking of at the moment. but she’s not sure. your muse is a good friend (maybe one of her best friends, even) who can either help her out or confuse her even more– it’s up to you.
lonely. this loser is lonely. and she’s quite fed up with the whole cat lady stereotype. “why can’t cat ladies be in relationships?” she loves her friends, no doubt, but GOD, she just wants someone who’ll tell her how much they love her in a non-platonic way. your muse is that someone. (note: this will probably end up in multiple threads. threads about how they met, their present relationship, etc.)

I don’t have much to say other than thank you for sticking with me, not giving up on me and being there no matter what. I’m in Korea and tbh, afraid I would lose so many connections. Some I did but some remained with me and became even stronger. I love you all and I’m sorry I can’t show it as much. I am most certainly grateful for the love I’ve received over the past months. 2017 is a new beginning, a new chance, let’s use it !! The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals. ( Melody Beattie )
