It was my birthday recently, and I thought "hey, this 'comissioning people to draw your stuff' thing seems fun" and lo! immediately I saw an awesome drawing by an artist I like a lot with an "I do comissions" link.

This is a scene from the first chapter of "I lahorima anna (The unexpected gift)", my long-fic that I am currently trying to finish (part 2 drafted, part 3 in the making).
The 4 main characters meet all together for the first time and discuss their quest. Well, Rainel is discussing, the others are having various complaints XD (Rainel is the long-haired gal)
I am keeping the high-res to myself for now, until I finish the whole fic. Then I'll probably make some posts yapping about having finished, and post this art again and some details of the high-res. It's 11 mb. :)
Also I am getting the physical drawing too and I'll frame it and hang it in my bedroom! Ans probably post pictures of that too.
And when I updete part 1 (it gets some small fixes), the art is going to be part of it!

she captured their personalities perfectly, I feel like I know my own characters better after seeing this art.
very nice to work with, communicative, fast replies, she sent me a sketch very quickly just to discuss her idea and another sketch later to ask for feedback.
Included all the feedback with no issues.
She took my unusual request of "take a look on my fic and choose a scene you like" with no problem, even though the fic had 45k words
Good pricing and she answered all my questions about it very clearly. also, no charging extra for the scene, despite it's not only the characters.
I would never have thought that it's possible to have 4 characters sitting around a table and show the faces of them all. I still suspect it's some kind of elven magic :D
