Hello! It's nice to see other survivors out there

I.. I was curious, do you have any advice on how to survive in this.. how should I even call it? That is, if you know better than I do... I hope you're doing well

I'm growing more paranoid by the day, I want to protect the ones close to me from all of this, but yet, I have this bad feeling that one day I might fail to. I just... I can't bear losing them. I'm sorry if this seems sudden, but... I could really use some help. I am not asking to come in your house, however... we are currently taking refuge in my own. You don't have to deal with feeding more people, so don't worry

I.. also wouldn't trust everything they say on the news. They can be deceiving, even if it starts from something true- I've seen it firsthand, sadly. Still, I do agree that it's better to be safe than sorry. My advice is not to judge people too easily, however- mistakes in a situation like this might not be repairable

First of all, good news: you say you’re not bringing anyone to my house. Great. Really takes the pressure off.

People are exhausting. One is already too many.

Anyway. Advice.

If you’re already paranoid? Good. Stay like that. Paranoia’s just… survival with extra steps.

But don’t let it eat you alive. If you’re so scared of losing people that you freeze up, then you’ve already lost.

You can’t protect everyone from everything. Trust me, I’ve tried protecting myself from everyone ,, and even that is a full-time job.

As for the news— yeah, no kidding. Half of it’s fake, the other half is too real. Best you can do is pay attention and trust what you see with your own eyes.

And don’t worry about bothering me. If I didn’t want to answer, I wouldn’t have.

…Just keep your doors locked, don’t trust smiles, and don’t hesitate if someone feels wrong. That’s the only real advice anyone can give in this mess.

But I suppose you're right.. freezing up won't help either. I know they're also capable of defending themselves, but I still worry.. if anything happened to them, I would blame myself forever.

And- glad to know that. I guess I just needed to share my thoughts with someone.. you're more than welcome to tell me anything as well, if you'd like. But- obviously, you're not forced to.

I'll try my best not to. I can't really make any promises... as everything is pretty unstable now- but I honestly rather not think about it. It's not really the idea of death itself that frightens me... but moreso of the pain that comes before it. And the absence of people I used to care about..

Don't worry about that, by the way. As of now, I see no reason to leave my house. I have some valuable things here.. I'm not just going to leave it all behind

...do you have any favorite hobbies? Anything you like to do to distract yourself? I personally like drawing, I guess. It's kinda relaxing.. even though it still doesn't fully ease the dread. Hope you're holding up better than I am..

Oh, I also have a guitar! I've always been drawn to music myself, but never got encouraged in that direction, so I didn't have the chance until later, learning to draw instead. I used to hate it at first, but then I began liking it, and now it's something I love doing!

I also am still pretty much an amateur at playing the guitar, any app I use requires a subscription after a while... and YouTube videos can be helpful, but not very interactive- and looking for a mentor now would be useless.

Also, I'm really sorry that happened... was it an accident? And did you manage to get a new one or get the old one fixed?
