ik everyone is kind of off the Marathon reboot rn but i think it deserves credit for how much of the original gameplay loop of Marathon it has in its bones. Like underneath all of the hero shooter fluff its still: appear in the level space -> achieve objective -> leave level space via teleportation. Its spiritually consistent and getting my hands on the closed alpha rly made me excited for it.
