I have a new AU in the works! This one is called: "The Hospital Error."
Here's part 1 of the character concepts:
The events of this AU take place after episode 9, but Jax never abstracted. She is transfem, goes by she/her, and changed her name to Lilly.
Full Synopsis:
Caine asks if he can try to create an adventure for everyone that's safe/peaceful. They decide to let him, since they've all been doing their own things for a very long time. He creates a portal, and everyone goes in, but a glitch occurs right as they do.
Caine wakes up in a hospital bed, even though that wasn't the plan for this adventure. He suddenly feels pain, and he now has the ability to bleed... a lot. The NPC patient next to him sparks a conversation, only to glitch out, screaming in agony before bursting into confetti. Caine starts to feel afraid, pressing the button on his remote to call for a nurse.
Lilly comes in asking Caine what's going on, instantly feeling upset when he says that he had planned to take them on an adventure to a forest to go bird/beewatching, and that none of this is supposed to happen. She says she'll go and find the others, so he anxiously waits for her to come back.
Lilly leaves the room to find Pomni, but finds her as a a glitchy mass. She attacks Lilly, but she runs to safety until this monstrous Pomni gets confused and leaves. Lilly tries to look for someone else, and she finds Zooble as just a head. Lilly asks how they got like that, and they respond that Gangle attacked them and ate their body. Lilly carries Zooble's head as they leave to find Kinger.
Meanwhile, Caine starts to feel worse. He coughs up glitchy, black blood, scared that he's going to abstract. He gets up from his bed, but for some reason cannot detach himself from his IV pole. He brings it with him anyway, and leaves to the hallway to try and find Lilly. Kinger appears as a monster with several eyes and arms, and he chases Caine until he reaches an elevator. Caine hides in the elevator and moves down one floor to get away from Kinger.
Lilly and Zooble go back to Caine's room, only to find out that he's not there. They find Kinger, who bumps into them so hard that Lilly accidentally drops Zooble far away. Zooble tells Lilly to forget about them and run, so she does, leaving them behind to unfortunately get eaten.
Lilly searches all the rooms, frustrated that Caine isn't in any of them. She later finds Ragatha, crying on the floor because she's scared. Lilly makes her get up so they can look for Caine, so they head to the elevator to move on to the next floor below.
Caine walks down the hall, checking each room and calling out to Lilly, Pomni, or anybody else in hopes that they answer. Instead, he's faced with Zooble in a frightening, spider-like form. They chase Caine into one of the offices, where he tries to hide under a desk. He has to pull the IV pole down on its side in order for him to hide, but Zooble finds him anyway. He freezes, terrified that they'll hurt him, but to his surprise, they leave him alone. He waits until the coast is clear, and then he bolts out of the room to find Lilly.
Lilly and Ragatha find Caine at the end of the hall, and they run to each other. Ragatha and Caine immediately hug one another, but Lilly shouts at Caine for not having stayed in his room. The three are now on their own, trying to figure out why Caine isn't able to bring them back to the circus. When they suddenly remember that they have creative abilities too, Lilly and Ragatha try to use said abilities to create an exit, but to no avail.
After a while, Caine feels a tiny surge of strength, so he creates weapons for Lilly and Ragatha to use until he can find a way to save the others, as well as make a portal home... Until Zooble reappears with Pomni, Gangle, and Kinger.
Lilly, Ragatha, and Caine are the only survivors.
There may or may not be an escape.
