So tomorrow is the day I officially move out of my childhood home and move in with the man I love. Cheesy post alert 🚨 When I started my roll as a staff nurse I never in a thousand years thought that I would meet someone as amazing, caring, attentive, sarcastic and loving as my Darren. He’s sarcastic, moody, messy and drives me up the wall at times, but he also makes me feel loved, wanted and appreciated every single day, he holds me when I cry and goes out his way to make me smile when I’m sad. My previous relationships haven’t been the best - emotionally/mentally abused, used, undermined. I have been made to feel worthless, been told that I’m stupid, told that I’m too fat to love, too fat to been seen on the street with and been made out to be a psycho because I called them out on their bullshit, all of this made me feel like I was unlovable and didn’t deserve the affections of someone, that was until he came along. He has said to me “you honestly don’t see how beautiful you are, do you?” and “I know you struggle with your self image but just know that I love every inch of you”. I know he’s proud to walk down the street holding my hand because he has said so, he kisses me in public and wants me to go to events with him. This is all new to me and it is sometimes still a struggle for me to grasp that he wants me but he seems determined to make me see my worth and to make me realise how much he loves me.
