Check out my April makeup/face product empties! (x)
I have loved the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer for quite some time. My only complaint is the price. At $52 for a 1 ounce bottle, it is on the more expensive side. Don't get me wrong, this primer is worth every penny. This primer makes your skin look and feel flawless. It helps to control oil, but doesn't dry out already dehydrated skin. It also blurs and smooths any fine lines and imperfections. It also has an SPF of 15 for some added sun protection. If you are in the market for a great high end primer, I strongly suggest giving this one a try. And if you are already a fan of this, then you need to invest in the jumbo size. Sephora now carries a 2 ounce squeeze tube for $72. That's only $36 an ounce! I also like that this bigger size is in a squeeze tube. Although the original glass packaging is beautiful, I am always afraid that my clumbsy self will drop it and break it. Let me know if you have tried the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, and what you think of it! ♡Chelsea

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation - Review
About a month ago I made a trip to Sephora to use up a gift card, and with little impulse control, ended up buying what seemed like half the store. My main goal of that mini shopping spree was to try out the new NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, and of course by try out I mean buy it immediately.
I have loved the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation for a long time, and the shade Mont Blanc matches me pretty much perfectly. The names of the different shades of foundation matched between the Sheer Glow and the Luminous Weightless, but when I swatched them in Sephora to double check, they were just a little bit different. Luckily they weren't so different that it didn't match, but if you are going to switch over the Luminous Weightless foundation be sure to try it in store first to ensure it matches your skin.
Before we get in to the actual foundations, let's talk about the packaging. I am absolutely in love with the simple frosted glass bottle and black matte lid. There is something luxurious about the look and feel of this bottle. Although the outside is great, the actual best part about this packaging is that it comes with a pump. This may seem like a small and trivial detail, but anyone who has tried the other NARS liquid foundations knows that you can either hunt down and buy a pump yourself, or try to pour out just the right amount of product without spilling or wasting anything.
Now on the most important part...how does the actual foundation work? This is marketed as a lightweight, full coverage foundation, that covers with one pump, and lasts for 16 hours.
I agree that this foundation is lightweight and full coverage. This combination is rare, since most full coverage foundations feel heavy and can look like you are wearing an inch of makeup. On the other hand, many lightweight foundations can feel nice on the skin, but when you apply them they barely cover any imperfections. This foundation is full coverage and covers any redness or spots, but doesn't not feel heavy or thick on the skin.
They claim that you only need one pump to achieve a full coverage look. This is where I have to disagree. I found that one pump did only about half of my face, two pumps seemed perfect, with the occasional third pump on days where my skin has a few more blemishes to cover. I tried applying this with my fingers, a sponge, and a brush, and with each application method I had the same results.
Although I don't like to wear my makeup for 16 hours, nor do I recommend it, this foundation really did hold up for that long. I did use a primer and a makeup setting spray, so I can't say how it holds up on its own, but overall I ended the night with very minimal fading of my makeup. This is pretty impressive, because with my dry skin I usually find foundations cling to my dry patches around my cheeks and nose and almost 'flaking' off. I will say that I tried this foundation with a number of different primers, and I found that the ultra hydrating ones like Too Faced Hangover Rx or Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot primer, worked the best.
In the photos below, I did my makeup at about 9:30/10:00 in the morning. I needed to do a full face of makeup that early because I had errands to run and events all day and I knew I wasn't going to have time to reapply or get ready before the next event. I wore this makeup to the store, to a charity bowling event, and then to a friends 30th birthday party.
You can see the foundation covered any redness or uneven skin tone, and hid any blemishes or spots I had. This foundation also covers any dark under-eye circles nicely, but in this case I didn't use my foundation to hide them, since I knew I was going to be using an under-eye concealer.
Overall, I am very impressed with this foundation. It covered my imperfections with out being heavy, and lasted quite nicely throughout a very full day.
Have you tried the new NARS foundation? What are your thoughts on it?

I was recently lucky enough to receive a bottle of the Even Glow Serum from Valentia Skin Care. This is marketed as an 'Antioxidant treatment to brighten and even skin tone, reducing the signs of aging'. This serum contains Vitamin C, Rosehip Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, and Green Tea Extract, without any alcohol or parabens. I have been using this serum for about a week, and I can honestly say I love it! This serum has been amazing for my dry skin! I can't speak to the anti-aging properties, because luckily as of right now, I don't have too many signs of aging. That being said, it is never too early to start preventing the aging process. To use, I apply a small amount (a little bit goes a long way!) to freshly cleansed skin prior to my moisturizer. It goes onto the skin beautifully and doesn't feel too heavy. My only complaint is the scent. I have read a number of reviews from other bloggers that say they love the smell and that it is a light citrus scent. I am generally not a huge fan of citrus scented things so I was a bit biased to begin with. Luckily this serum has worked wonders on my skin, so I can move past the scent. Many serums and skin treatments now a days will cost you a pretty penny, but this serum which is originally $70, can be found on Amazon for only $35. Since you only need a tiny amount this bottle will last you quite a long time. Click here to check it out on Amazon! ♡Chelsea **Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post, I was sent this serum as a promotion. All opinions and reviews are all my own, I was not compensated for a positive review**

GlamST is a new beauty app that gives you the chance to virtually try on different makeup styles. Information about GlamST It was founded by 2 women from Uruguay, South America. Both women are engineers, and wanted to create this app to give women an easy way to decide what makeup to wear for the day, and to keep up on the latest makeup trends. This software has been used by L'Oreal, Dior, YSl, Shiseido and Lancome. How does it work? To use the app you can upload a selfie or use a pre-loaded picture. With that picture you can set different styles of makeup, or even use celebrity inspired styles. You can pick between Trendy, Sexy, Edgy, Glamorous, Fresh, or Hipster makeup styles. One of the three pre-loaded selfies The different trends to choose from. For this example I chose to use a selfie that comes with the app. You can use your own but you have to move dots around your face as markers, and it gets a bit tricky. The app automatically applies face, lip, and eye products to allow you to see different makeup looks, and a slider bar allows you to see the before and after. A glamorous makeup look The before and after of a glamorous makeup look. Once you find a look you like, you can actually purchase the products used right from the app. The icon in the bottom left corner will open up a list of products to recreate the look at 3 different price points. When you tap on a product you want to learn more about, it gives you an option to purchase at Sephora. Screenshot of a lipstick Screenshot of an eye shadow quad. You can also upload your selfie with the new makeup looks to different social media sites. Overall Pros and ConsPros * Gives you the chance to find new makeup inspirations * View different makeup looks on the same person * Shop the products used, directly on Sephora's website * Discover products at different price ranges Cons * Time consuming to place the markers on your own selfie * A lot of the makeup looks are similar * Only has 3 pre-loaded models, so there is not a lot of different skin tones or face shapes. The Verdict Overall, I think this app is super fun! I spent quite some time playing with different looks on myself and the pre-loaded pictures. I really like this app to find new color combinations and on trend makeup looks. Hopefully as this app becomes more popular, they will expand the number of looks and models. If you want in on the makeup fun click the link below to down load the app from the iTunes App Store.
