How is it still so hard for people to accept that homosexuals are actually homosexual and that we can't just upgrade into the politically correct "hearts not parts" sexuality just because they decided that sex shouldn't matter? It's like they completely forgot why this community even exists.
I get that the majority of them are at best bisexual and can't actually relate to lesbians (and lesbians have always been a minority so it becomes very obvious why they suddenly forgot about us when there's a flood of non lesbians claiming that label and correcting us with their tumblr wisdom on what our community looked like and the history they never actually experienced) even then they just can't deal with us having boundaries and it's so weird.

I'm genuinely concerned for young lesbians who will find online communities, read this manipulative homophobic bullshit and believe that there is something wrong with them for having boundaries and not being attracted to the opposite sex.
The thing with gender/sex (I know it's not the same, stay with me) is that it doesn't have a real translation to other languages (at least in german, interact and tell me about your language and if you got a word for gender)
For example sex = GESCHLECHT
Gender dysphoria = GESCHLECHTSdysphorie
As you can see, in german it's the same word but since gender has it's own meaning (gender roles were named in 1955 to describe the social behavior of men and women. 1960 the word gender identity appeared for the first time and claimed that there's not just the biological sex, but also a psychological sex aka. The gender. Unfortunately that was all just a bunch of stereotypes. For example that women wear dresses because they're women and not that women wear dresses because they got conditioned to. 1970 feminists began to criticize that since it's just a bunch of made up stereotypes and that's what's the literally definition of gender is. Stereotypes) it shouldn't be GESCHLECHTSdysphorie in german but more like STEREOTYPESdysphorie. I think to realize that makes it easier to get a hang of it
That's the thing that bothers me about this whole sex/gender debate. I thought gender was just a fancy word to avoid using sex (which people seemed to agree with for a while?) because technically female/woman means the same thing but one of those words specifies that it's about a human female. Now it's pretty much just "woman = sex stereotypes" and we are expected to either agree with how that defines us or we are trans.
Geschlecht, weiblich, Frau, has always just been a distinction between the two sexes for me that is inherently separate from the stereotypes and roles that are pushed on us. It was the stereotypes we used to fight against, not "gender".
Sex based oppression is directly correlated to reproduction. The very first distinction of humankind was male and female; who inseminated and who gestated. Women's oppression is based on sexual and reproductive violence. It has evolved to include beauty, fashion, education, self-expression through hobbies, behavior, more. But it is always traced back to men wanting to control women for the sake of sex and reproduction.

No woman says that she's on her period when she gets mood swings, stomach aches or bowel problems, her period starts when she starts bleeding. Pumping estrogen into your body and calling it an "estrogenized body" doesn't give you a female hormone cycle, being female does. What you get is a gassy stomach.
