"Hey, there's nothing wrong with that either. Perseverance is a quality that we should all have. You should be proud of yourself," Erin pointed out, offering the younger woman a smile. She tore off some of the funnel cake she was offered before she slid her own plate of French fries towards the other. "Or animals in general, I would presume?" She asked, knowing that Cherry had grown up on a farm. "Now that I've settled into eating every kind of hot sausage they offer, I don't want to overdo it on the rides. I was on the swings earlier, and my stomach couldn't handle it. But I wouldn't be opposed to having another go on the teacups, though."
"I like that word. Perseverance. It's kinder than what I said." She wrinkled her nose as she said it. She'd had more than one friend accuse her (in good humor) of being excessively stubborn. She popped a fry in her mouth before shrugging. "Yeah, I'm big on the animal front. Growing up on a farm steal any scrubs you of any squeamishness so if you've got a spider in your bathroom, I'm your girl." She paused for a second as she looked out over the fairgrounds and considered Erin's offer. "I'm going to take a rain check on the teacups. Promised my sisters the first ride of summer." She shrugged. "Family tradition."
