( ayo edebiri. 30. she/her. owner of what's the tea? ) the loudest one in the room, cute tees and chunky trainers, a pot of tea always on the go, noughties pop drifting from the kitchen, constantly crocheting, brightly painted nails, an answer for everything, big sister to all, dessert first, fireworks and bonfires on the beach, walks in the woods.

"Perfect," Mandy grinned widely. "Then we'll get something sweet!" she nodded excitedly. She loved getting to see everything around there for the spring fling. "We've been pretty busy, which actually is really great because we had a lot of people joining in with the coloring books and got some donations as well. What about you?"
"Fantastic!" Sabrina's enthusiasm came through almost immediately. ASs they walked, she glanced back and forth, taking everything in, making sure they didn't miss any options. If she ended up walking past the cake it would be a sad day indeed. "That's great to hear," she responded. "I'm glad people are putting their money where their mouth is today!" she said with a nod. "As for me, it's been okay, I've just been hanging around. I'll need to head back to the shop eventually, though."
"You're a godsend," they said with a wide grin, standing up from where they had been sitting and beginning to gather the supplies. It had been busy for hours, and then hit a slight slow patch -- lots of people already had buttons attached to their jackets or bags, and now they needed to pick up everyone else. "Keeps me from catnapping over there," they let out a laugh, holding out a piece of paper. "This is the button template! Basically... you know, the rules of coloring. Just stay within the lines, and you're golden. Oh," they heaved a small, dramatic sigh, "I'm supposed to remind everyone that profanity is not allowed."
Rina laughed, immediately taking a seat and making herself at home. "Can't have that!" she responded with a grin. "Gotta keep you working!" She reached out and took the piece of paper from Stelly's outstretched hand, examining it for a moment, and then nodded her head. "I think I can manage that," she said. "Think." More laughter followed, and then she reached out for a couple of markers. She nodded at their following words. "Got it. Family friendly."
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
"I haven't checked out much of the festival myself yet." Chandler admitted. He had mostly been working at Pause for Paws so far. "But I hear there's fair games somewhere around here."
Sabrina's face lit up at that suggestion and she nodded, immediately grabbing hold of his arm. "You don't need to tell me twice," she said simply, beginning to drag him away from the stage. "I wonder if there's a hook a duck? That's always been my favourite."
"Next is another drink, then I'm thinking maybe..." Trey mused for a moment. "Face painting? Probably not. Unless you're in. Actually, I thought about doing a bit of shopping if you want to join." He gestured in the direct of some of the booths set up with various local goods.
"Another drink would be good..." Rina mused, although she would probably get told by someone soon she'd had way too many sugary sodas already and should rein it in a little. She'd never been all that good at that, though. "Face painting?! You can't say face painting and then take it back! You'd look amazing as a tiger," she laughed.
"I'm not sure, but whoever it is I'm sure it'll be great!" Sylvia was more accustomed to being a performer at these sorts of town events but had opted for being an audience member this time around. She was enjoying the chance to simply appreciate and support other performers in town. "Do you have a favorite performance so far?"
"Is it dancing?!" Sabrina asked the question as if she just expected Sylvia to know somehow, even though she had absolutely no clue herself —it was slightly ridiculous, all things considered. "Did I hear something about a dramatic performance, or am I making that up?" She shook her head a moment later, almost answering her own question. "Loved that singer they had on earlier... I don't remember their name. I'm so bad with names," she laughed.
Dylan had only been at the event for a short time that day, having to finish work first and it took them longer than expected. First thing they decided to check was the performances, that would definitely got them out of work mode. They gave a cheer as well after the last performance then let out a chuckle at the question. "Honestly, anything. It would give me a reason to stay here longer. How about one of the games? Or I think I saw some people painting rocks. How's your art skill?"
"My art skills are great if you close your eyes," was Rina's blunt response, her shoulders lifting in a shrug in response to Dylan's question. "But I'm willing to give anything a shot," she added, face breaking out into an enthusiastic smile. "Let's give it a go, shall we?" She let her brows wiggle in amusement, and then reached out for their arm. "Come on, your idea, you lead the way!"

white cardboard box set in his hands, leo rolls his lips between his teeth and frowns. looks here, looks there, flush of embarrassment. how these ended up for free in his hands, tries to decipher: they appeared out of nowhere, delivered as if he got them for himself and he hadn't. " ... guess this is a sign to give my brain a break. " refers to: endless notepads, held in place by the outdoor salt-shakers, table otherwise sans food whatsoever. " these ... i dunno, they manifested. " a thief? him? never, not even a number two pencil back in high school.
"The doughnuts manifested?!" Rina's brows lifted in disbelief and she shook her head. "A likely story! I'm waiting for the real one here." And she did wait, folding her arms in front of her a moment, letting them sit there until she got bored. Her attention went back to the doughnuts then instead, and she came out with, "Well, if they manifested, you won't mind sharing, will you?" She reached out, hand prying at the edge of the box.
Cordelia had been spending a good portion of this Spring Fling just wandering around. Not really going anywhere in particular, just wandering aimlessly through the booths, through the performance areas, and seeing where she ended up. It was always something to see the town come together when they were passionate about something. A piece that she'd always love about this town. "There's more performances though I'm pretty sure they'll have them pretty much all the time to keep things busy and the atmosphere fun and happy. Depends if you're looking to relax, shop?"
"Oh, I know, I think there's a dance performance later I was wanting to see," Rina responded with a smile. "As tempting as it is, though, I don't think I can stay by the stage all day." She chuckled lightly. "It might be time to hunt for something to eat." Although she was sure there wouldn't be much hunting involved, everything was laid out really well, which made finding things pretty easy.

Spending as much time as possible in the button booth, Stelly was pretty proud of how many people they had convinced to stop by, get creative, maybe buy a button or two that they liked from the display of pre-mades to show their support for the cause. They knew that it was going to take a lot to achieve the rather large, long-term goal, but... every dollar counted, right? Seeing a familiar face wander closer to the booth, they beamed, waving at Sabrina as they approached. "Hey, Rina! Come to make a button?"
Sabrina was wandering kind of aimlessly. She'd watched a few performances and stopped off to grab some food, but now she was unsure what to do with the rest of her time there —- she did plan to leave sometime soon, but not quite yet. She didn't expect to hear the sudden shout of her name, yet glanced up to spot Stelly and immediately flashed a grin. "I was passing, but I will definitely make a button!" she responded, heading over.
Katie laughed softly from where she stood leaning against the fence of the bunny enclosure. "See, that’s exactly how they get you," she informed her seriously, nodding toward the bunny currently melting beneath Rina’s attention. "Cute face, tiny nose twitches, highly emotionally manipulative levels of softness… They know what they’re doing."
Her smile widened warmly as she glanced down at the donation jar nearby before looking back at Rina. "And for the record, we appreciate you. Even if the bunnies are absolutely committing psychological warfare on your schedule. That one’s Clover, by the way," she added, crouching beside Rina. "She came in a few months ago after somebody dumped an entire litter outside town. She was terrified of people at first. Wouldn’t let anybody near her." But now Clover sat perfectly content accepting affection like she had never known fear at all. Katie smiled quietly at the sight before nudging Rina lightly with her shoulder. "So… how attached are we getting here on a scale from emotionally stable to already planning where the bunny bed would go?"
Sabrina couldn't help but laugh a little, nodding along with what Katie had to say. "Believe me, I know it very well," she responded quite simply, her hand still outstretched as the bunny in front of her investigated. "Used to bunnies doing that, honestly," she said. "Feels like the story of my life." At the mention of bunny beds and so on, she really did laugh, shaking her head. She wasn't entirely sure it would be a good idea, but always tempting, of course. "Not entirely sure my Peter would like the competition," she answered. Then there would be the issue of neutering, too, the last thing she wanted to deal with was rabbits breeding like... well, rabbits.

Sabrina had been hanging out by the stage for maybe an hour or so, taking in some of the performances taking place, a cold drink in her hand. When the current act finished, she whooped and cheered, a bright smile on her face. "Loved that," she said with a soft laugh, turning to the person beside her. "The question is, what next?" She knew she couldn't stay here all day, but she was having a good go of it.
“I like the way you think,” Mandy said with a cheeky grin. She needed a pick me up from being up early in the morning and setting up. Not that she was complaining. It was more of a ‘need to catch up on everything else’ type of pick me up. Maybe the two coffees she downed that morning were finally having that effect on her. “Oooh, I think they have the cute little fruity ones with the crystallized sugar?” She beamed, leading her friend in that direction.
Rina wouldn't say no to sugar, she was well known for constantly choosing cake over anything else. So when Mandy needed a break and mentioned food, well, it was a done deal to be honest. "It's the only way to think," she said with a laugh and a firm nod. A moment later she was quite happy to fall in step with the other woman, taking in all the sights and smells as they walked. "How's it going for you today so far?"

"I swear I'm not going to stay here all day," Rina commented as she crouched down to pet one of the bunnies, a bright smile immediately appearing on her face. "But you can't bring bunnies to something like this and expect me to have any kind of willpower." She'd already handed over a twenty-dollar donation to Katie and knew she'd have trouble tearing herself away. Obviously, she'd need to eventually, the store couldn't run itself all day, but when there was an event like this on in town, she liked to support.

What: Spring Fling
"So, what do you want to do first?" Mandy asked her friend, looking over. She had been taking a break from the booth, having one of her other teachers taking over for a bit. So far, so good. Her booth had been really popping and who knew that coloring books would be extra popular among adults? She totally did, but she'd pretend to be surprised at that win. "I'm actually a bit hungry, maybe we can check out some of the food carts? Watch a few performances?"
"I could eat. I could definitely eat!" Rina wasn't one to turn down food, not even for a second, so when Mandy suggested it, she wasn't about to say no. So far she hadn't really got up to too much; had spent some time looking at the games on offer, attempted ( and failed ) to win some cool prizes, and watched one of the early performances. "I'm craving sugar," she added, "Cobblestone looked like they had some good stuff on offer. Doughnuts and shit." Probably not how Taryn would like her goodies described, but here they were.
